  1. I go back and forth for what ever reason you have to buy a bunch to get 3 to paper tune so I don’t use them now but every time a new brand comes out I try them. I think the last time i used them I had 150$ in nocks to finally get 3 that would shoot the same through paper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I can’t carry a gun facing the side like that pointing at someone if I’m around anyone. My fear is that most accidental handgun shootings happen on the draw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I had a tote filled with holsters I am never happy with them. My most carried gun “glock26” I easily have over 20 holsters for. My “Glock 43” I have only had about a year and have been through 8-10 holsters for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The problem I have with this is that most of this land will never be seen by a human now. The camps that were way in after they’re torn down the roads will be closed and there will only be hiking trails. Other than hikers going a-b on the trail this land will never be seen by humans. Don’t know of many hunters willing to walk in a trail 5+ Miles then venture off hunting. Hell most times you get more than a half mile from the parking spots and you don’t see any signs of humans. 5. Mine are hanging unless I need them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. A buddy of mine told me about this the other day and I had a bunch of running around to do today so I played it in the truck and got through two episodes, clothing and guns. The gun one I really enjoyed because it’s a lot of what I do and think. I’m sure for some the way they talk about shooting would be crazy or “unethical” but it’s the way I have done it my whole life and the way most do it when we are in the big woods and your chances are few and far between. https://www.bigwoodsbucks.com/podcast Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I don’t know where you’re heading but from my experience in SC, GA and Florida unless you’re hunting on a ranch with feeders most hogs are under 100lbs. Doesn’t take much fun to kill a 100lb hog. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yup plenty, killed truck loads of them with my Ar’s and mini 14 when I was stationed down south. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Lol there’s your problem, leave that damn phone in the truck and you’ll have all that extra load capacity. I don’t remember the last time my phone was in my pocket it goes from the house to the truck or in the bike. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I don’t need another 722 but that’s a beauty! In about the best deer cartridge ever designed!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I had a mentality very similar to yours it was actually just dumb luck that I had a gun on me that night because prior to that I almost never carried one. But that night as I was getting my crap ready to head out I remember thinking that I hadn’t carried that 29 in a while so I put it on my belt. That random thought could have saved my life that night. Laws are tricky but you know what I don’t know if there’s an after life but I do know I enjoy being on this side of the topsoil so I’ll take my chances. Not to mention prisons not that bad I work in one and would have no problem living in one for a bit if it meant protecting me and mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Recurve, compound and Xbow, rifle, shotgun, pistol, muzzleloader, and a plethora of farm implements. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have needed a to “use” a gun in the states once in my life and I was glad I had it. I was cat fishing by myself at a public fishing spot in a good area, around 2:30am a car pulled up with 3 guys in it that looked like they weren’t there to see if the fish were biting. I kept an eye on them and overheard them talking about robbing me. After some discussion amongst themselves They started my direction spread out 3 wide. I told them to stop a few times and they didn’t listen, I drew my Glock 29 when they were probably 20ft from me with a large tree between us that I put between them and me. They turned and ran and sped off in their car. If they were armed as well and were interested in a shoot out I would have liked my odds I had good cover and it was dark behind me and they had lights behind them and no cover. All of this was going through my head as the situation was unfolding. I’ve won some fights in my life, don’t claim to be a tough guy but I can hold my own if it’s coming to that however I don’t like my odds against 3 guys with bad intentions. I have no idea what those 3 fellas wanted to do with me/to me or if they thought I would just hand them my wallet and truck keys and tell them to have a nice day. I do know 100% that the outcome would have been different had I not been armed that night. I made a decision that night that I wouldn’t go anywhere without a gun again, I live by the saying that it’s better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I carry better than 50% of the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I figured it would be fun, my daughter likes shooting it. I got mine for 455$ out the door and it uses Glock mags that I have a bunch of. I think it will make a good fun to have laying around camp if nothing else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I love my PC9, still haven’t figured out what the hell its for but it sure is fun to shoot! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Lime takes 6 months to start working. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Unless you’re going to do it again next year skip the lime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yup, I wish I could stomach doing what all the neighbors do just one or two for 5s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I think the biggest problem is people don’t work for a living anymore. My job is terrible, if I wanted to I could sit in a chair for 15hrs and 45min of my 16hr shifts but I get up every 15min or so and walk around or just stand for a while. I also do little workouts throughout the day just to stay as active as I can. My body is ruined, from working on a farm, doing construction, playing sports and racing motocross as a kid to my time in the service. A few shoulder surgeries and a back surgery has slowed me down a little but I refuse to let it bother me. I’m sure I’ll have to change my ways eventually but not until its debilitating. I work out 5 times a week because when I got heavier everything hurt worse. I know for me staying at a comfortable weight “220lbs” is a big factor in how I feel from day to day. I’m a youngster compared to many on here and can only hope I can keep doing what o want for many years to come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. And none for 5t again. Not even a loandowners. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I put a dab of string wax on every screw/bolt on my bows and never have anything come loose anymore. As good as bows are getting there is still vibration and that’s what will loosen screws and bolts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Most people can kill critters at 400yds with their deer rifles with a little practice. 650 is different story. Get out past 500 and a lot more comes into play. If 650yds is your goal a custom rifle is what I recommend, Nathan at hillbilly customs is at the top of my list for a custom build. As for caliber that’s up to you, how much recoil you can take and what your intended game is should be the deciding factor. 300wm is a good choice but wouldn’t be my first one. 24. got the girlfriend on a decent cat on the hudson the other night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
