I wonder if this will kick the Demorats out of the city council in Saratoga. The business owners have to be furious. I know they were where my daughter worked. And every tourist was asking my daughter if this is normal etc. Nobody was happy about it. Get some people on the city council that will allow the police to do their jobs and this crap would end in two seconds. Spit or throw something at a cop......Your cuffed, stuffed and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law....Game over. These cops are told to stand down and basically allow whatever happens to happen.....

Always has been. Never in a million years did i think i needed to worry about my daughter working there. Its a very upscale place she is working at. We need to take the choke collars off the police so they can do their jobs. I felt terrible for them....

Saratoga police and BLM protesters clash on Wednesday night (timesunion.com) This crap is getting closer to my front door. My 16 year old daughter got her first job in Saratoga. She is a hostess at the wine bar. She was scared to death with what was going on last night. Protesters throwing stuff, spitting on police, getting in peoples faces. She heard a loud bang and was positive someone got shot. I grabbed my .45 and both mags. Never carry the .45 or both mags and went and picked her up. Couldn't even get to Broadway. Had to walk a few blocks and a few blocks back to the truck. Today is opening day of the track. Guess Saratoga wants to ruin their tourism. Who wants to go spend good money and put up with that? I thanked every police officer i saw on the way in and out. If this crap keeps up i'm going to make her quit her job. Just completely disgusted with the way this world is going.....Thinking i need to get her some mace for her purse.....

Can't disagree with any of this, but defunding the police, making the police out to be the bad guys in the hood and bail reform didn't do anything at all to help this and made it way worse. So the first thing we can do is reverse these things. I'm not saying it would all go away overnight, just reversing these things. But it would be a very easy first step

We need to make it crystal clear that we have the back of the police and want them to enforce the laws and do their jobs without fear of losing their job or being sued. That will go a long way in restoring some control. We need to ditch bail reform. It should have been obvious to anyone that this was a terrible idea. We need some leaders to step up and make it clear that if you don't commit any crimes, you never have to worry about dealing with the police. If you do have to deal with the police. You comply, period. End of story...and you won't have an issue with the police. I would love to hear just one leader say that.....Had George Floyd complied, he would still be alive. Along with every other person that has perished at the hands of the police. When did it become the norm to not comply with a LEO? These leaders saying their children can't go outside for fear of being killed by a police officer need to be called out!
