Filled a dmp with an nap. 100 grain 3 blade Nap broadhead that is.While not the biggest doe I have ever killed it is venison in the freezer. 5 PM Sat in Letchworth State Park. 15 yds broadside. The arrow passed through and buried in the dirt, Hit lung and heart, it ran 30 yards and crashed.All of this after I spent about half an hour trying to find a straight tree to climb with my climbing stand.Sorry,didn't have time for a nice outdoor picture.

Not crazy, I remember reading to use apple juice as a cover scent probably 20 years ago.Also vanilla is suppossed to work.

I do my own butchering.I don't look forward to it but it saves me up to $150 if I kill two deer ( I would rather spend that money on new hunting equipment ). I also trim as much waste as possible before freezing and have no bone sawdust to contend with.

No you must be mistaken,there are few deer in Letchworth and they are scrawny little bony deer at that.The park is filled with hungry bears and huge steep gorges.I do not think anyone would enjoy hunting there.Are we on the same page everyone ? Lousy hunting,scrawny deer,hungry bears,dangerous drop-offs.

I am hoping to hunt with a recurve next year. Still setting up a vintage Bear Grizzly circa 1970 and some newer aluminum arrows.

I believe these were worn before backtags yes. These have a pin on the back like most buttons so they must have been pinned to clothing or a hat possibly.

I feel compassion for that animal I don't care how much they are hated. If it starves to death that is wrong. Plastic can be a scourge as well as a benefit.

If I owned my own hunting property and wished to manage it I would say let him go.However I don't and honestly I know during bow season I would be trying to get a shot at that buck. I understand both sides of the shoot / let him walk debate but I am not totally at the don't shoot until it is at least 3 years old yet.I may be getting more selective each year but only time will tell.

That is the best footage I have ever watched of a deer ducking an arrow.Unfortunately I don't have any advice.I assume all fasteners are tight.Try a different release ? Go back to the bow shop and get more advice .
