  1. They sit outside 24 7. I'm in that store every week almost. Like TSC and others.. they sit outside cause it won't hurt them. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  2. Clover doesnt really take off great until the 2nd year, or a fall planting will thrive come following spring. etc.. unles you use annuals like crimson or berseem.
  3. Grow my neighbor used to spray for them among many other things for many of years.. Until he bought his own trucks and started his own business trucking. I can get numbers of anyone needs them. Plus i drive by everyday for work.
  4. I bought the 120$ nikon 3-9x40 buckmaster from walmart for my 7mm 08. So far its been great and you cant beat walmart return policy lol.
  5. It works very well. I've don't a ton of research lately about no till methods and cover crops. A lot of very useful information. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  6. I did this with the clippings as well. For moisture and to prevent future weed growth. I do this with food plots sort of as well. Using that duff layer or dead vegetation as a moisture barrier.. Works well, and helps me not have to til soil for plantings as well. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  7. Finally got to spend a couple hours weeding it today. The weeds were taller than the plants. But the soil is damp and moist as can be. Everything is doing good, even the watermelon plants are doing well. I'm hopeful lol. Grape tomatoes and zucchini are almost ready for picking. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  8. Agreed. Lesson learned. The original cape would have been nice but this one is a big boy and a beauty with color. Dark for head too. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  9. We can redo it again! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  10. Total loss. A 215lbs dressed whitetail turned into a 2 yr old looking doe lol. Plus he used borax or some sort on the inside of the hide instead of fleshing it and tanning it!! What a joke. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  11. The original was completely formed up with playdoh, yes playdoh lol and some sort of twine it was ridiculous. The eye sockets still moved bc playdoh never set up. it was horrible. I saved the old form and am going to set an old skull cap back on it and use it in the woods, either with the trail cameras or as a joke with my neighbor during season lol.
  12. Planted mine in first week of June before my son was born. Since he was born I haven't had time to do any weeding or anything. Everything is growing good just littered with weeds. cucumbers, Grape tomatoes, hot peppers, sweet corn, yellow squash zucchini green beans and last bu tnot least watermelons.. for my daughter. Theyre going real slow
  13. Mid to Late August. Id plant winter Wheat or a triticale with a clover blend. After spraying it off. Like Sailing said you can make your own drags for cheap. lots of ways to scratch soil and all you have to do is scratch the surface to get good seed to soil contact. Ive made a couple different drags in my younger years. Google homeade drags if you want other ideas. But ive said it before i plant all of my seeds without scratching soil at all. First time plots are tougher this way, so I might use something to break soil up for first time plots but that is it and seldom do i do it then. Ferns usually mean low PH so Lime will really help. Cutting some trees will help you as well..
  14. Ive gotten a few pics over the years of good size does with what looks like tiny pointy buttons on their heads like they were a button buck. Never thought much about it. Dont feel like digging through pics right now but ive seen it several times.
  15. These are the kind of bucks i like!
  16. especially on such a nice lawn!!
  17. cool pics! even better with the deer in the same pic that close watching them!
  18. Pic was from the shop wall when I picked him up Friday. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  19. Just picked up my buck I had re done 2007. Looks awesome, especially from what it used to be!! Lol I thought 200$ was such a steal lol lessons learned!! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  20. To me a Trophy is an older age class deer, regardless of what they grow on top of their heads. I like the big bucks that carry ugly, and smaller than "normal" headgear for their age class. Guess cause i like to be slightly different with things. But idk what drives people to chase the rack, i think it varies between individual. The uniqueness of one rack over another, even if there is 3 or 4 years difference between the 2. Some are out to just beat everyone and anyone in anyway they possibly can for bragging rights. Not being one that wants to kill the biggest rack buck in the woods, its hard to tell what drives their gears. The biggest rack buck in my woods is actually 3rd on my hitlist, just for the fact of a couple bucks that are slightly smaller and younger have better patterns for me to follow ..
  21. I grew up hunting. My dad took me out turkey hunting with him when i was young. Got to finally carry a gun when i was 12. I spent every summer of my childhood either at the cottage on Seneca Lake or at Camp down near Bath. My grandparents and uncles on both sides all hunted. I guess i was surrounded with it. Now it seems all grandparents and uncles cant, or just chose not to hunt anymore. So it is basically my brother and sister and myself that do the hunting now along with my Wife, cant forget her lol. Hope to teach my kids the way of the land as they grow up..
  22. So sad, and having family as well.. wow. I know I prefer my windows down when the weather is nice over having the A/C on, unless its like 100 degrees then the A/C may get used. But for the officers safety maybe they should install bullet proof glass and have them keep windows up at all times with A/C on. Idk just a thought to keep them safer as you guys suggested. I would hate to not be able to put my windows down but, theres things at my job i have to do that i wish i didn't have to for safety.
  23. Heard from a couple people who had them and were not pleased with them at all. Cant remember why, think battery life and pic quality. It looks like a great setup but, i wanted to see some reviews or hear first hand on it first before buying. I know after reading some reviews online about most any product, you can tell the people who know and dont know a thing about the product they are reviewing lol
  24. Probably something close to what im looking at. If its like anything else they usually come down in price over time.. I spent 600$ on the cheapest local SONY handheld i could find 10-12 years ago lol. There are cheaper knock off HD cams, but i believe they dont have compatible software or something for uploading to PC. Some sort of Japanese or Chinese set up.
