which agway had the cheaper seed?

This is one of my next projects. If i get my tractor going good again i have the lower end of my big plot that stays damp all year. Wouldn't mind putting something small there. I believe there is underground springs or something in the general spot too.. Or get the neighbor to dig it with his backhoe Like Steuben Jerrys that is a purdy setup...

Nice gun! I haven't shot mine yet, but I won a Whitetails Unlimited A Bolt III in .270 at a banquet. Just need to get a good set of bases and rings for it. Will be topped with a Leupold. But the gun looks and feels good against the shoulder.

That's good to hear. I'm going to stop in and see SeedWay Phil on 21 in Fremont. He carries a lot of seeds for food plotters. Keeps it hidden in the back. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Yea my beans are over seeded with ethiopian cabbage swisschard ptt, GHR, winfred and others. Im trying more new things this year .. lol I'll see what I can gather a mix for, price wise Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -
You don't think this seed could be last year's seed or even older or in unfavorable storage conditions? Just curious. Too good to be true it seems to me.. hope not for your sake. But if I am wrong.. i may follow your foot steps. I need some grain for a termination crop come spring Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Will a heavy frost kill cow peas or lab lab off? Just so I know what to expect Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -
I have only done a few, and those were all on opening day of gun season. And i probably will continue that for as long as my neighbors are out and about doing what they do. Otherwise i will try and pick best time per day, per weather, per rut phase etc.. I put a camera last year for the first time ever in one of my favorite spots and left it all season. After checking the card at the end of the season for the first time.. I will be sitting some midday sits like 9am-3pm or even til dark when the rut is on.. I was amazed by all the mid day buck traffic.. more good bucks than younger ones too..

R.I.P. Preston Roberts of Mountain Man
LET EM GROW replied to Water Rat's topic in General Chit Chat
I really enjoyed Preston as well, thats too bad. Eustace.. He annoyed me at times as well. I think mainly because some of his acts were quite thoughtless and he payed the price for those choices. But again it is TV and it has to be staged to look good, I think they just had to stage way too much of Eustace's Property to make it look good, it really didnt compare in reality.. I mean i liked alot of what he did, but the way he did it was... idk awkward or something.. Still a good show. I just wish Ax Men would come back to air also.. -

Here's the new end of my murder plot the loggers so graciously made larger for me.. just a wide log rd that opens up at the end great staging area. DeerAg with the real world beans.. both planted same day and getting grazed heavily Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

o the loggers wiped out my murder plot(clovers) pretty well this past May. I didn't spray anything and just broadcasted Real World Soybeans into it. Up until 2 weeks ago I sprayed gly at a 3% mix.. not really caring if it killed the clovers or not. It did make alot of it at least dormant of not dead. But the gly is did its magic. Tonight I overseeded more DeerAg trophy clover with added chicory. As well as a brassica mix that had Ethiopian Cabbage, PTT, GHR, Rutabaga and winfred brassicas. Calling for rain this week so hopefully it takes.. there's plenty enough duff to lay down with a good rain so.. we should be ok Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -
Just looking for some opinions here for a good Fall Food Plot MIX besides the typical fall plots like brassicas that most everyone does(Like my neighbors).. Trying to help my wife connect during early bow season, shes usually one and done and a warmer weather hunter lol. I already have 3 other plots with different brassica blends in each. This is a 1/2 acre spot or so I hope I can get seeded by mid August. And was thinking of planting some Winter Peas with Forage oats, WW or Triticale as well, maybe an annual clover along with ground hog radish or something idk. Again mid August is the time frame to plant this. Just looking to see what people have that works well for them(other than brassicas).. They cereal rye didn't work so hot last year.. I like to offer something my neighbors typically dont.. Thanks ! This food plotting stuff is getting to be an addiction it seems...

I love getting pics of bears, but I hate their curiosity.. I've had 3 cams trashed by bears. Once they see it its like they can't resist walking up and sniffing or licking or wrecking the damn thing.. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Heard of 3 different bowtechs having limbs blow up again in the last 2 weeks wi mthin my hunting friends.. Just a heads up. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

I would have thought hunting with dogs is cheating... But I guess you do have to follow the dog bark and trail.. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Dont be jealous of his booners. I thought it was kind of like paying someone else to do your scouting just to kill something, then enter it?? Guess Im wrong again... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
