I also vote for Gilbert Lake. We used to go every year and love it. Very nice lake and swimming area, can become crowded with kids from school programs though. Can also hike to a few more remote ponds to fish that get much less pressure.

Have you looked into Straight Talk? $45 a month unlimited text, talk, and data. I have a phone that uses Verizon's towers. No contract just go to Walmart and get a card or enroll in auto refill.

I have a set of Vortex Diamondbacks 10 x 50 kind of heavy but worth it to me super clear and cant beat the warranty. For the money I don't think you can beat a set of Nikon Action Extremes. I like 10 x 50 but you're getting heavy to be carrying all day. -
Check these signs out. Molded plastic that the company claims will never fade or wear out. Don't need to use a backer board either but kinda expensive at $1.29 a piece. They also will customize for free if you purchase over 100 signs. Made in NY too. http://www.postedsign.com/

I liked the old format when the NAHC did the field testing. I actually was able to test and keep a $100 Work Sharp sharpener. With the new format and the other company I got to test and keep a set of Drag Master Gloves worth around $20. I personally think the magazine sucks and contains mostly ads. Fur- Fish and Game blows it out of the water. Oh and they did pull the same "send me a coin to try and if you don't like it send it back" I put an end to that real quick.

I also shot it at Harrisburg. Very cool idea, different from a traditional compound in several ways. Absolutely zero hand shock when firing, literally nothing. And you have to put the nock to the corner of your mouth to be consistent/hit where you want to. I wasn't crazy about the site or rest he had installed but I would assume others could be used in there place. I guess they gave a few to an elk outfitter who is going to use them on elk and tape the experience.

I'm looking to purchase a airgun to replace a .177 Gamo. I'd like to get the most accurate gun for my maximum price of around $200. I think I'd like to switch to .22 cal too. I would be using the airgun mostly for squirrels and crows. Potentially rats inside of barns where you wouldn't want an overly powerful gun. My Gamo shoots good but is older and not very accurate. I have been looking at the Benjamin Trail NP and like the fact you can leave it cocked for hours without accuracy suffering. Id like to get your opinion on a gun that would best fit my needs thanks.

I believe Schroon Lake has shanty rentals. I remember seeing a bunch a few years ago when I was fishing. Sacandaga also has shanty rentals.

My thought exactly, I've noticed a lot of guys splitting the pelvis why? All that's going to accomplish is the meat of the hind quarter getting dirty and dried out.

Actually 93 dollars in Saratoga County...Judge informed us it just went up. Got out of the inspection ticket but still had to pay the surcharge sucks big time.

I really like Straight Talk so far. 45 bucks a month for unlimited text and talk. They advertise data being unlimited too, but your limited to 2 Gb per month. I use data all the time and have yet to come close to the allowance.

I like the Red Ripcord and am currently using it. My dad uses a QAD and like it. I wish mine didn't fall when letting down the string easily. But I like how the Ripcord cocks better than the QAD.

Personally I would stay as far away from Kioti as humanely possible. I don't have one but have had the opportunity to work on our elderly friends. Its been back to the dealer twice in 3 months due to starting problems. Maybe just happened to get the only bad apple of the group. I don't know but I would be careful. I also found parts to be hard to find and a lack of aftermarket cheaper alternatives. This could be based solely on location though. -
And coyotoes are lighting up around me. Kinda early and just sent the does back by me.

Been slow so far. Just had two does come in 10 yards behind me. Leafs are noisy but the deer didnt get the memo...almost totally silent approaching.

Out now same spot as in the morning. Already passed 2 does in range as i walked to the stand. Hopefully there the first of many. Didnt see anything this morning other than one i jumped bedded near my stand in the dark

Out now nothing yet. Sat in exact stand 2 night ago and saw 3 bucks out of range wind was bad. Better wind tonight, fingers crossed. Does are safe today.
