You on a diet? Fiancee had to work late, so it was a Spicy Italian foot long from Subway. Better then a greasy fast food joint. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

We have lights in the living room windows and kitchen windows, and this is the new fake pre-lit tree. Most of the presents under the tree aren't ours. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk -
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all!

I read this a couple days ago, I have been a little reluctant to post. I called S&M to ask if shooting a .22 short from my M&P would work. I was advised not to use the shorts as they do not seat right in the chamber because of the shorter brass on the .22 short vs the .22LR. People who are far more knowledgeable then I have posted, but, I would not try it. Shotguns have barrels made to accept shells from 2-3/4 through 3-1/2 in mag shells. Rifles don't work in the same same way. Just my thoughts, with any rifle, use the ammo fitting the rifle for max performance and not have breech issues.

He never told me his last name. I was never friendly with this DB. No one really was/is, so last name might a PITA. I will look at the apps you mentioned. Can I use them on a PC?
-
OK< so how do I do that? The only people who actually know his last name are the park owners. Already asked other neighbors. Not like I can go snooping in his mailbox, that's a felony IIRC for messing with the mail.

Never saw a flurry here until today. Started around 1PM, still coming down. I would say by looking, 5 inches, but in reality, only about 2 so far.

Been almost a week, and no one knows what happened. At least not the other members of the community. It's just unnerving. The first thoughts on things like this are protect your family. I don't have kids, but making sure my fiancée is safe is still right up there. I did kind of take offense to a few comments. But, it is what it is. No grudges held by me. I just really want to know WTH happened, and it looks like I may never know, as well as the few others who keep inquiring may never know.

Look, no we don't have money, so we bought a mobile home. I am not even sure why my "poverty" came into play. I posted this to try and make a point, you never know where stupid people will show up with bad intentions. It is what it is. I started to get comfy with that "It Can't Happen To Me Out Here." . I was wrong. I don't see a difference in members posting about trashed tree stands or poachers cutting your property. I would rather have a tree stand mucked up then have an a$$ hole next door with intentions not yet known.

Still don't know WTH the deal was. Nothing on police reports, and the park owner is keeping a tight lip about the whole thing. As usual. A few of us did ask the cops what was going on, we were told to go back inside. With all the crazy $h1t going on in the world you never know what people are capable of. So yeah, my guard was up. Still is. The guy that owns that home tried kicking the door down to a couple places accusing people of stealing his kids lizard after he had a few too many beers a couple months ago. Should have been evicted from the community back then. Cops were here on that one 4 times in a couple hours.

I really don't! One minute we are sitting here watching TV, the next the neighbors house is being surrounded by LEO's and the State Police are driving across my lawn! I have no idea WTF went down, but for almost two hours LOE's were trying to get into the home next to me. I am guessing it wont make the news either. They finally took someone out of the house in cuffs ( "someone", not the owners ), but I am still on alert. This isn't BS! Two hours to get one person out of the house. The owners bailed hours ago. I am no tin foil hat guy, but I will say I am more then a little nervous on this one.

Always just made/make it in the oven, sliced meats. Never used a store bought spice mix, never will. My jerky doesn't last long here either, a few days at most, so I haven't even bothered with curing it. I gave it a go in my charcoal smoker, that didn't work out so well. The ash pan fills up fast and I lost temps after 4 hours. I know how to mod that smoker now, and also got an early X-Mas gift of a second smoker, propane. Going to try in that after deer season and a hopefully sunny and somewhat warm day. I hear smoking the jerky add better flavor then and oven or dehydrator.

+1 on what TCIII said. The private land I hunt used to be about 45minutes to an hour, depending on which place I stopped at to get mt drive up coffee. Even after only hunting until noon or a bit later, it was rough driving home. Now, that land is close to an hour and a half drive, and the only two times we got up there last season the fiancée only made it a few hours in the cold. So even heading home around 10:00AM both of us had a hard time staying awake. I would hunt the closer area, pressure should be letting of a bit now in most areas.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahhahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa! That's one of the funniest things I read on here in a while. First beer in while and you just made me spit the first sip all over the wall in my den. LOL. -
Neither! We have a growing Moose population, so lets try to expand that and get a season! Lets focus on what we have and not put the horse in front of the wagon anymore!

Best Gear that Surprised You

Dayquil, got a nasty cold a few days ago, but this stuff got me in the woods this morning for a few hours. To bad it's not a 24 hour fix. That and I bought a basic camo mask for the bow season. It's just mesh, but has actually helped with the cold and wind during the gun season when combined with my beard. -
Mistakes happen, and people make them. The two biggest are spilling crap on the keyboard, and knocking over the monitor. Knock the monitor over on an all-in-one would mean replacing the entire system. Not trying to argue, just voicing an opinion. Also, going a stand alone tower route, which as many have said you can get pretty reasonable, you can get a HD 30" ( or bigger ) TV that will have a place to connect the wires for use as a PC monitor for around $150 these days. I love my big ole HD TV as a monitor for my DT when looking at maps. Computers are like cars/trucks, it's all personal preference. I agree with eddie! If you aren't using CCleaner, you are nuts.

I would go E-Machine over Acer, and HP over Dell. But, it depends on what you want, and what you want to use it for. If you just want to surf the web and post on forums, you can still get 4GB of RAM with a Terabyte hard drive for less then $700. If you plan to do a lot of video editing or things like that I would suggest looking into a Lenovo, not too pricy but great over all PC's. I know this doesn't apply here, but if you want to use the computer to make art or top notch GFX, buy a MAC! I will make one suggestion, don't get an "all-in-one". If the monitor goes you have to replace everything. Get a tower and separate monitor combo.

I have taken flack for this, but this is why I will not shoot at a running deer! You might know your backstop when you set up, but the heightened adrenaline shooting at a running deer can make you make a mistake. You cannot cure stupidity in hunting. Any hunter who mistakes a person for a deer is a #$%^*!a$$^&$! ! How the hell does anyone mistake a truck for a deer?

This is one of mine, from a few days ago. Sorry, still working on the walls, floor, and roof. Then again, I think I like it as it is.
-
Just go! If you in a ground blind, self made or a pop-up or hub, I will suggest going a few yards from the blind, but it's your blind so do what you want. The only time I will wander 25-30 away from my sit is if I have to $^!t.

Sorry, got the click text to make people look from Growie's posts........... Do you make your turkey sandwiches for the Friday after on turkey day on Thursday night, or Friday morning?

I have no faith in anyone who doesn't know the difference between a comma and an apostrophe. "Boom! Drops the mike!"
