I usually have a few granola bars with me. Last year i started to bring in cider. Now i dont feel right hunting without it.

Good looking deer!

Being from Buffalo, i typically watch the Bills and sabres. I dont catch every game, but if they are on and i have some free time i will tune in. I typically tune into the other sports playoffs and i watch more golf than most. I cant get into the baseball playoffs this year though. The games are just too long.

That's a shooter in my book, good luck!

I usually start the season off with the idea that i will wait on one that has at least 8 points or is outside of his ears. When Thanksgiving rolls around those standards drop pretty quick if the freezer is still empty.

That would be pretty cool to see him in the woods.

Im a Clarkson grad from buffalo. I look forward to another good season from the knights and hopefully a more entertaining season from the sabres Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

i sighted the bow in with the arrows that came with it but from what i have read they are too light. Does anyone have a recommendation or preference on the weight of the arrow for hunting? Thanks for the input on the lumenoks. i use them on my compound and really like them.

I grew up with a father and uncles that hunted for deer primarily and fished in the summer. I have a brother and a few cousins that are around the same age that took to the woods and water as well. Im close with my brother and cousins and always have had a competitive/ helpful relationship. We enjoy seeing someone take a deer or catch a big fish as much as we like to get one ourselves. I learned how to hunt and shoot from my father and as I've grown we have both evolved as the technology changed. Hunting is a year round activity for us now. This is the same for my cousins as well. If we get a chance to all be in the same place at the same time hunting/ fishing dominates the conversation. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I just purchased a centerpoint sniper 370 and need to upgrade the bolts that came with it. I currently have 100gr broadheads. Does anyone have any recommendations on which bolts would work best with this? Bolt weight? brand? Are lighted nocks worth it?

That's one great looking buck. With all of those bucks there it should be an entertaining season!

I am surprised how high Minnesota is on both of these lists. I've never thought of it as a big buck state.

i was finishing up a softball game that we somehow got in. Half the players were watching the rainbow instead of the game. It was a good one!

I have an area by one of my stands that they keep the scrape open almost all of the time. I keep cameras near it and usually in the summer its only does checking it out. This time of year is when the bucks typically start hitting it and it grows to about double its usual size and gets freshened up much more regularly. The season is getting closer....

That's a great looking wall!

Yea, the time and date were never set. I put a few more cameras up hoping to get a couple more pics of him

Looks like a good one!

Made it out to the property this weekend to set up some cameras and check on a few stands. Had this camera out all summer. A few young deer and this big guy. Sorry for the picture, I forgot to bring an extra SD card. The season cant come soon enough.

I have used a few different ones over the years. The ones you can find on amazon seem to work just as well as the expensive ones. I currently have blue ones. Makes seeing where the arrow hit as well as finding the arrow a bit easier.

That's a nice looking buck.

We lease from a timber company for the last 10ish years and it has worked out pretty well. Treat the land as your own as long as you don't damage or take down any living trees. We also can only use tree stands that are not permanent, which isn't a big deal.
