  1. Little windy but have been sitting since 2. Have a nice little rub line by my stand. no deer yet
  2. Wifey and I with lee and Tiffany at the Harrisburg sportsman show awhile back
  3. I agree 100% that you can’t kill them from the couch, but going and hunting when the deer are not moving and burning out your hunting grounds also is not wise.
  4. As moog said the heat ,plus the bucks are hanging in the corn, think about it - cover and food all in one.
  5. Lots of new ages coming in yet when it slows down I will ..
  6. I will spin the arrow on my arrow roller and if the head spins true, a new set of blades go on. I shoot spitfires and yes montecs are a solid one piece head and can be sharpened.
  7. Heat seeking bullets would be unethical ......
  8. You don’t have to rub it in
  9. Not sure if this has been done before, but just curious what the demographic is.i am pretty sure we are most older with some youngsters .. my self 47 years old
  10. I have never seen one myself and I have been hunting since I was 12. Wife’s been hunting for 6-7 years now, go figure ...
  11. Oh yes she has not let me forget. But it’s all in fun , I got a good one no doubt ..
  12. When we were out bowhunting the opening day my wife swore she had seen a bobcat in a tree at last light. I was like are you sure it wasn’t a raccoon or a porcupine. Well it was a indeed a bobcat..
  13. Not to be a smart a$$. But Are you that cheap that you can’t buy a extra box and get some valuable bench time and practice in to see where they shoot?
  14. Apperantly the last 2 or 3 gears are so close on ratio you can not feel them shift. It’s all about epa and gas mileage. I am all for it .a full size truck that can tow 12000 pounds and get 26 miles to the gallon, works for me .
  15. Believe it or not ford and gm teamed up to design and build the new 10 and 9 speed transmissions. I believe in the 2018 gm line up the trucks and vett will be getting 10 speeds. And cars for ford and gm will be getting the 9.
  16. I am not worried guys just wanted to see if everyone else is getting the same high percentage of night photos as I. We also will not be hunting till the weather starts to cooperate..
  17. Pretty big difference in movement patterns with this heat and the deer growing their winter coats. My daytime photos have dropped of a lot compared to 5-7 weeks ago. We have only hunted on the 1st so not from pressure. How about yours ?

  19. Twice I bought oil at Walmart and it was used, yep dirty s.o.b’s returned used oil, thing that gets me is the idiots at the return counter we’re not smart enough to see the oil jugs had been opened . Do needles to say I check now..
  20. Look into the mileage with the 2018 f-150s. Ford is installing 10 speed transmissions and with the tweaking that they did with eco boost 6’s mileage and horse power is up. I am waiting for the wife’s Camry to be paid off and my 07 f-150 will be traded In on a new one . Oh and the new f-150’ s will tow like 12000 pounds too.
  21. Yep when you release your string the arrow will flex and look like a wet noodle. You could be getting contact.
  22. Pulling a arrow through your rest will not show all possible contact points. Go steal one of the wife's lipstick tubes and put a coating on the edge of your vanes and shoot the arrow. Your arrow could be flexing into something , look for lipstick on your bow, rest etc. are the new arrows grouping together ? If so , you need to retune your bow to these arrows. Remember the charts are only a recommendation.

    Magnus

I am going to politely disagree, I have used spitfire broad heads for years and had a very similar hit on a really big doe . the spitfires cut the liver in half and tore up the back half of the lungs with a blood trail a novice could have followed. And I was using stingers myself, the small diameter of the bleeder blades is ok but not great. As I said tons of guys love Magnus heads , myself not impressed ..
  24. Are the arrows the same diameter ? Did you recheck your tune with the new arrows, are they coming out of the bow straight ? Are the blazers hitting anywhere?
