  1. Can't believe it's this close already. Only thing I have left is I had a ground blind break on me so I will be putting up its replacement this weekend. Besides that it's just shooting the bow as much as I can .
  2. Beaver dams is my old stomping grounds, I went to the old beaver valley school k to third grade .lots of good deer up there..
  3. Thanks, I actually have like 600 photos from the apple tree cam. They have been hitting it hard and the apples are not even ripe yet.
  4. Wow nice buck . glad he passed his genetics, hope you get him. good luck ..
  5. This camera is set up under a apple tree . just out side of the photo on the right is a ground blind 18 yards from the tree. Hoping this will be my sons first buck ...
  6. Wife had a point for 8T and she should have gotten 2 doe tags and only got one. Better than none, but even the lady where we bought our tags commented about it .
  7. My mini fridge currently resides at Alfred state with my youngest. it may not have my Sam Adams in it, but pretty positive it's still keeping alcohol cold ..
  8. Would that be camo toe camouflage ..........
  9. Interesting I will try that. One other thing I do is I put deodorant on my feet to help keep them from sweating..
  10. Mine are spread out pretty good, spring is turkey, summer is riding the atv's, shooting the revolvers as much as I can and going to club 3-d shoots, fall is deer of course. Then the winter months are reloading all my ammo for the next summer of shooting. The biggest thing that has put a damper on my summer shooting this year is my diy kitchen remodel...
  11. No panic. Lots of anticipation though ....
  12. Not playing on my phone?
  13. I am having a dilemma, all the years of hunting I have walked and only used the quad to drag deer out in the last 5-6 years ( bad back ). But this year setting up stands we noticed on our lease that we have been on 3 yrs now that the deer paid no attention to our quads. The farmer is on the property a bunch and the owner cuts trees and does some log skidding in the off season we spray the trails with a sprayer on the back of a quad also.so there is quit a bit of activity on the lease. So thinking about using the quad to drop my son and wife off at there stands then riding to mine and parking it 100 yards or so away from mine. Walking in we always see deer, so for those that have done both what's your opinion? I am leaning towards trying it to see .
  14. Lol no. There's just a lot of things that affect the life of the strings .
  15. Put up last ground blind 20 yards from a apple tree, put up a camera watching said tree. Just waiting for the apples to turn and start dropping so hopefully I will get some good pictures. Then oct 1st I hope to put my son in the blind so he can shoot his first deer..
  16. Well yes and no . Your cams going out of sinc is a major sign , the problem with that is as you shoot the strings stretch minimal amounts over time and you the shooter don't notice it. Also factors such as how often you wax a string/ how dirty it gets /number of shots/ how much heat ( if you leave your bow in a hot car all day ) and believe it or not how light or heavy of a arrow . A light arrow will make a string "flex more" vs a heavy arrow. Me personally I change strings and cables every 3-4 years .
  17. Culvercreak All strings and cable material has a give / elasticity to them , they have to or it would be very hard on the bow. Newer prestretched strings have come a long ways from even a few years ago, but all string material with age will reach its limits and will loose this ability. This permanent stretch is what sends cams out of sinc and will let single cams go out of optimum rotation causing weird nock travel etc. for both systems . Now you can twist up your string and cables to bring back your timing etc. but you will not have a as forgiving tune with a worn out set of strings . The string set may look ok but can still be worn out .
  18. Good advice given, I agree with arrow spine is a little weak. Strings being that old are probably shot out,and cam is out of tune. But since this is your last year with it. Move your sight to the broadheads and go hunting.
  19. Break it down and give me your draw weight , length , make of bow and arrow rest . Also how old are the strings and cables ?
  20. We went probably 10 years ago, we watched Jeff Dunham and he was super funny the boys still have the peanut and achmed shirts.lots to do no doubt ..
  21. 125 grain NAP spitfires or muzzy mx3's out of the ground blind (shoot through mesh) for me. I have the wife and boy shooting 100 grain trufire T1 heads, not sure why they never caught on but a great little broad head .
  22. B3h sorry right after I posted I sold the set of tires .a guy that contacted me first from Craigslist, texted me back and came right over and bought them. I apologize....
