That’s awesome , congrats on a great trip .

Not a fantastic start , so looking forward to a great ending . Good luck guys and looking forward to the photos ..

For me personally when bow hunting a light drizzle I’ll stay . But if it’s out right raining I’ll pack up. I’m not going to risk if I make a marginal shot and then have the rain wash a light blood trail away .

35 for me ..

Well check off another thing that is done for the hunting season, should have been done before now . Super redhawk is sighted in finally with the new Leupold. First photo is 50 yards wrists on a rest second 75 yard wrists rested, that lower right one in the target was all me . The gun sure does like the 270 grain deep curls , and I’m getting used to the scope float . -
Well that’s just awesome, tell the young man congrats . And I hope for many more to come ..

That’s awesome , how about some details on how you closed in and made the 12 yard shot. Just awesome …

I kinda feel your pain a little I'm a 32 inch draw and I rarely get to shoot a bow at my draw length before I buy. I would say since your so new shoot as many bows as you can and don’t let the name on the bow persuade you to buy . Buy the one that feels the best to YOU when you shoot it. The biggest thing to get right is the draw length for you no matter the manufacturer. You really can’t buy a bad bow anymore their all quality now .

My oldest son still shoots a reflex bighorn, I bought it for his 16 birthday ( he’s 27 now) . I’ve said to him you could upgrade and his response is always why, i shoot it great and it’ll kill deer just as easy as a new one .

Hahahahaha , ammo to buy your funny .

Just remembered a new restaurant on market street. The butchers son, wife and haven’t made it yet but tons of good word of mouth reviews

Same , had lasik about 20 years ago also and my distance sight has decreased and now wearing contacts and readers . I’m still good with not needing my readers to see my pins , maybe my 32 inch long draw helps .

If you hit the Corning museum of glass I highly recommend Aniellos pizza on market st. for lunch .

So I see you’ll be in hamondsport , Wife and I have eaten in the waterfront a few times and it was good , right on the lake too. Lots of wineries you could do a wine tour if that’s your thing. Also in bath there’s mossy bank park , has some hiking trails . Your probably about 40 mins from Corning so theres the Corning museum of glass . Also there’s boat cruises of the lake https://www.keukawatersports.com/learn-more-about--pontoon-cruise You could also drive over the hill to Watkins glen and hike the gorge , like 25-30 min drive .

Ok moog now you did it, my boys. The little guy in the first photo is now six seven. They do grow up fast .

Well after letting the cameras sit for 4 weeks it was a little disappointing, one camera the batteries died after about 10 photos, another I put up I did not position it well and have tons of photos of leaves and trees. But the other 4 we got tons of doe and a 3,4 and spike buck. Plus this guy and a hawk . I hung 2 more today and will go back this weekend and rehang the one that had the dead batteries and reposition the other one. No holy buck yet but I’m being optimistic .

Thermocell has been the only way for my wife and I to shoot .
-
Well I’m a bit behind , still sighting in my bow , my Redhawk, my 300 savage and my muzzleloader .
-
Yours looks way better , peace and quiet.

Not to hijack bionics thread , but it was a nice Tuesday night sharing drinks with Mike and Jen and meeting them. He gave us advice on where to see moose, so Wed. night we headed out for a drive at 10:30 and about half way between Rockwood and Jackman we encountered a cow and calf and then seen 3 more cows on our drive back about 3-5 miles from Jackman , no photos unfortunately. Thanks for the tip you two and enjoy the rest of your vacation .
