We tried the sst’s in my Sons 20 gauge 870 back in the day and the gun didn’t like em .

I have weekends plus I can put in the day before so I’m going to plan according to the weather. I have 130 hrs vacation now and I get 40 hrs p/l and 40 hrs more of vacation back Oct. 1st. Plus I get Columbus , election and veterans Day off .

One works that hard to hunt illegally , but puts in so little effort to do it legally makes no sense to me .

As much a I love my revolvers , I would go with my 870 12 guage. Birdshot for small game , buckshot for self /zombie defense and the slug barrel for big game . -
I found a tray at Scott’s guns tossed in a box of m/z stuff , then had a coworker pick me up a tray when he was in PA. I’ll keep a eye out for ya , if you don’t have any come season give me a holler I’ll give you some.

No worries on having it delivered , I ordered mine and 777 powder on line zero problems . I found the Winchester 777 primers locally and they have worked fine with mine .

The lease hasn’t been hunted In 4 years and yes lots of obvious sign , theres 4 deer trails worn down to the dirt , inside field corners to woods, very prominent trails through out the property.

Those copper solids are great , I killed a pile of deer with my 870 and copper solids .

My Dad taught me, if I remember correctly my first was when I was 9 or 10 . We had a old hand crank grinder and I thought it was fun till about a 1/2 hour in.

Thought we could all share what we are using this year to hunt with . Bow - Hoyt faktor 34 , 65lbs , 458 grain beman hunter with 125 grain black hornets . For firearms I rotate - 44 mag Super Redhawk ,going with hand loaded 270 grain Speer deep curls over 17 grains of 2400 / 300 Savage 99 with hand loaded 165 grain Speer hot cores over 41 grains of RL15 M/Z - cva optima v2 lr - 100 grains of 777 crush harvester sabots 44 mag xtp’s So whatcha using this coming season ?

I’m getting back into it myself this year after a long hiatus, I’m using 777 powder (as that’s all that was available at the time) still sighting it in but am going with 100 grains for now. I went with the crush harvester sabot’s ( recommended by the guys on here )sized for a 44 mag projectile (240 grain xtp’s I also have some 270 grain Speer deep curls ) as I have a bunch for my super redhawk.

Just picked up a new lease in July , we put out 7 cameras a few weeks ago . Just hung up 6 ladder. stands this weekend , with 2 more and 8 ground blinds planned for next weekend and bought 2 more cameras to put up as well. Very happy with our scouting and where we hung and plan on putting up blinds. Fingers crossed it will be a good hunting season for us 3 this year .

We’ve been to bar Bar harbor twice. A must do if you go is driving to the top of Cadillac mt. to watch the sunrise. Get there super early as it fills up fast.
