Where we found first blood on the right. Where we found the buck laying under the tree. About 20 yards or so in the real of the hunt. Yes. We do have a little seng growing in the area.

The tires are from old hay wagons and such. Put there decades ago by my partners father when he was running the farm. Thank you all very much for the nice comments!!! I am so proud of the mount. It now means more to me than any other I have. Being it was hand made by my lifelong friend. So much time and thought went into it. We rode the same school bus together. Have hunted together all these years, and have not ever once argued over a deer! We encourage each other, and share in all the up's and downs of hunting, and life. We are truly like blood brothers. I'm so fortunate, and blessed, to continue to share a friendship with such an awesome guy. If any local guys want to have a euro done next year, let me know? Will be able to do dips and custom work too.

My lifelong friend and hunting partner called me this morning. Said he needed a hand with something. As always, I told him I'd be right up. When I got there, he said come in for a minute. When I got inside, he gave me this!!! It's my buck from last hunting season, done up with wood from the farm. And the scene replicates the spot where I shot him exactly!!!! I was totally blown away! The pictures just don't show the detail. Down to the epoxy that looks like wet ground. Even the old tires are there! His wife told me he's been working on it for weeks. I knew he did the euro, but had no idea about the rest. He said he wants to start doing euros for people next year. And wanted to try something different. I think he got it right! The buck itself was very unique. Never got one quite like it before. But with the way it's done now, it is by far my favorite! I am so fortunate to be blessed with a friend like Gary. He got this buck out, and hung, skinned, gutted, and cut up for me. As I was going through a serious medical issue at the time. I was not even supposed to be out hunting! So this means so much to me. He even hand made me a picture frame to go with it!

I got a new phone in December. Had some issues like you are having now at first. I signed back in using Google Chrome. That seemed to clear up my issues. Still weird how I come to this forum though. Have to go through GC each time I come here. Once I go to GC, I see this site pop up, then I click on it to get here. Most everything else, I had my grandson do for me to set up. Being this new phone is a 5G it took some getting used to from my last 7 year old 2G phone.

Buckwheat/sorghum never did much for us either, as a summer crop. Deer would always find a more preferred food sourse close by. Try an oats clover mix instead. Deer seem to like this much better. During summer, cut it every few weeks to about four inches. Come late summer, let it grow out. It will stay green well throughout the deer season. It will also grow in hard rocky soil.

Happy Birthday!! Enjoy all that comes your way!

Good looking pup! Gunner is going to have a happy life! Been a few years since I lost my buddy Sam. Each time I see a thread like this, I'm a little closer to making a new buddy.

Now it's on you to have a season like our "two buck Larry" !!! I'm pretty sure with this "charm" you can pull it off! That Lawdwaz is a class act!

Not the blower, or my ATV will touch the solid two and a half inches of hard packed ice and sleet now in my driveway. Can't even shovel it, as it's like concrete! Oh well, it'll melt at some point....... Nothing I can do with it, never seen anything like it!

Man.....the things some guys ponder, on a snowy winters day..... But I feel your pain is real my brother. Perhaps if each member reading this, were to send you one stinky sock. You'd have a big nasty box to draw from, for the 22 season! Be guaranteed another Monarch for the new place!

Great thread! I'd be more than happy to demonstrate my leaning on shovel techniques!

I remember this!! Very cool Dino! Hope to see new pictures soon!

There won't be many more Presidents, if the lefties keep in power much longer. They will be called dictator, comrad, emperor, king or some such thing. -
Smart kid! Good parents and support! Congratulations!

I had a plow put on my Honda Rancher when I lived up on the hill. It was just ok. Be sure in the beginning, you push the snow back far enough to accommodate future snow! Or you will run out of room! Deep heavy snow was the hardest to push, and was a PITA. The next year for winter, I bought a dedicated plow truck!! Much faster, easier, and WARMER!!!!

Buck I shot last season is like that too. Rack was not that big, but he had a huge body and XXL skull size.

Sweet looking boat!!! Congrats !! Looks like it will be pretty comfy to overnight in! Is it set up for trolling or casting???......... Will I see you on Saratoga Lake??? Sacandaga?

The older I get, the more I enjoy hunting with others. Group texts with young hunters, and my lifelong hunting partner are great!! I still do hunt alone at times, and honestly, I really do enjoy the solitude. But help is always just a text away. I really needed the help last season, getting my buck out and hung up. And excepted the good natured ball busting and jokes at my expense, as something I would do if the situation were reversed! A lot of laughs, high fives, and smiles were shared. That is the part of hunting that has always appealed to me most. Sharing with friends and family.

Happy Birthday sir!

In the almost 50 years I've been hunting deer, I can honestly say every one of them is a trophy to ME! Not to anyone else, but to me. Of course, some mean more than others. But every single one of them are trophies. I do see your point. Yes, I've taken a fair share of mature bucks. But my first buck with a bow, a spike, is among my most prized trophies. There are many things besides the size of antlers that make a deer a trophy.

The term "trophy" as it pertains to deer hunting to me, is any deer killed.

The Bungles win!!! Woo-hoo! Now SF has to win. Might be a great SB after all?
