  1. Got a great game on tap tonight, with the Red Sox at the Yankees! Some bad blood between these two powerhouses, during their last matchup in Boston. Should be a great series, to see who leads the AL east, when it's over! And look for Biz on the big screen, as he will be there, with beer in hand!!! I think he will be in the Judge's Chamber, in RF. Cheering on his hero!!!................hehehe Let's Go Yankees!!!
  2. Fishing for black bass in NY is legal now. It's artificial lures only - catch and release. From December 1st, to the Friday preceding the 3rd Saturday in June. They changed the regs regarding this a few years ago.
  3. Don't see it Biz. We should make a new one for 18, as the other was started in 17. Good game on tap for tonight!! Sox and Yanks!!
  4. I'm with ya on this! For me, hearing the gobbles and turkey sounds is what makes turkey hunting fun! I am NOT a great, or even good turkey hunter. So, so, at best, as deer hunting is my main passion. Hunting turkey's is fun to me when there is interaction between hunter, and the birds. I understand this is not always the case when hunting turkeys. The last few years, I may hear a sporadic gobble from the roost, and then dead silence, when they hit ground. Just takes the FUN out of it for me, even if I do kill one coming in silent. We have about 500 acres of huntable property available to us. The birds are not pressured at all. Food plots, hay fields, and excellent turkey habitat abound. The numbers of turkeys on this property, and area, have decreased substantially over the last 15 to 20 years. Mostly due to predators, winter kill, and harsh nesting conditions in the spring?? Perhaps if there were more turkeys, they would be more vocal??? These same woods and fields used to light up, with spring gobble's and hen sounds! No more though. I could easily go somewhere else and kill a turkey. But to me the FUN, is doing it on my own land, and hearing them answer my calls. Not sounding sour grapes here. Just my current feelings of turkey hunting our property.
  5. Hoping your family member continues to improve.
  6. Are you saying our moog, is really a Hoss? I do know, he was once a "blocker" in his college days!
  7. What a way to see the sunrise! Awesome! What time did you roll out of bed, to be at the summit for sunrise?
  8. Very good shooting at 300 yards! Pretty sweet rifle too! Always nice to see the young guns on the bench also! Are you going to be reloading your own 6.5 ammo?
  9. Perhaps I'll do better with less smart birds! We'd be able to match wits then!........grin.
  10. Just a get away for me and the Mrs. in Ogunquit/Wells. But thinking of wetting a line in the Ogunquit river, early mornings, while she is getting ready. It's right outside our door, where we will be staying.
  11. Congratulations to the happy couple!! Where do I need to go to kiss the bride??. ......hehehe Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.
  12. Decided to go this morning. No gobbles at all and no turkeys seen. Going to Maine next weekend. Then will start getting the boat ready. Not enough turkeys to bother with on our property.

I'll be carrying my phone, to try to get a pic. My wife is doing a lot of snickering at me though. Pretty sure I ain't going looloo........
  16. Was out back cutting grass today, and right along the pasture fence, I see a chipmunk running with a mouse in its mouth! Gotta be the same Killer Chipmunk! Two mice in two days that I've seen!

  18. Sounds like a lot of fun Rob! Good luck and keep safe. Maybe I can get the winter cover off my boat this weekend??? Have a lot to do with little time this weekend!
  19. Think I'll keep the Killer Chipmunk, right where he is! May even set some extra peanuts out for him. He can take out as many mice as he wants here. Hope ya come up with a solution soon Eddie.
  20. I'm thinking my meat eating munk, will chase the deer away!

  23. Eradicate em all! Wildlife gone crazy! Gotta get me some bunker busters!. ....hehehe Had my phone out in the garage with me. But wasn't fast enough to get a pic. I honestly thought to myself, dang even wooly doesn't have a pic like that!!!!
  24. It is crazy! He actually carried the mouse back out the door in his mouth! Don't think I'll hand feed the local munks peanuts anymore either....
  25. I got home from work tonight, and was working on one of my mowers. Saw a chipmunk chase a field mouse in the back door, heard some rustling around and then some loud squeeks! Next thing I see is the chipmunk with the mouse in it's mouth! I have never seen this before! Had no idea a chipmunk could be a killer! Anyone else ever see this before?
