  1. Very good shooting at 300 yards! Pretty sweet rifle too! Always nice to see the young guns on the bench also! Are you going to be reloading your own 6.5 ammo?
  2. Perhaps I'll do better with less smart birds! We'd be able to match wits then!........grin.
  3. Just a get away for me and the Mrs. in Ogunquit/Wells. But thinking of wetting a line in the Ogunquit river, early mornings, while she is getting ready. It's right outside our door, where we will be staying.
  4. Congratulations to the happy couple!! Where do I need to go to kiss the bride??. ......hehehe Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.
  5. Decided to go this morning. No gobbles at all and no turkeys seen. Going to Maine next weekend. Then will start getting the boat ready. Not enough turkeys to bother with on our property.
  6. Whoohoo! Congratulations my friend! Great looking bird! Love that pic! No gobbles here either. Turkeys 2. Grampy 0
  7. Sounds like a great time guy's. The friends made through this forum, is pretty remarkable. Some good people here for sure!
  8. LOL..... Go from never even hearing about a meat eating chipmunk, to seeing it twice now! Nope, no UFO sightings, I haven't had a drink in months, and no new meds. I'll be carrying my phone, to try to get a pic. My wife is doing a lot of snickering at me though. Pretty sure I ain't going looloo........
  9. Was out back cutting grass today, and right along the pasture fence, I see a chipmunk running with a mouse in its mouth! Gotta be the same Killer Chipmunk! Two mice in two days that I've seen!
  10. Congratulations Sis and Bro! What an awesome team! What a great hunt and pictures! I'm more happy for you guys, than if I shot one myself! This is what it's all about folks.
  11. Sounds like a lot of fun Rob! Good luck and keep safe. Maybe I can get the winter cover off my boat this weekend??? Have a lot to do with little time this weekend!
  12. Think I'll keep the Killer Chipmunk, right where he is! May even set some extra peanuts out for him. He can take out as many mice as he wants here. Hope ya come up with a solution soon Eddie.
  13. I'm thinking my meat eating munk, will chase the deer away!
  14. Congrats on a great bird! And awesome pic's!! Where did you say you lived?????......grin.
  15. Congratulations on the double!!! Nice birds!
  16. Eradicate em all! Wildlife gone crazy! Gotta get me some bunker busters!. ....hehehe Had my phone out in the garage with me. But wasn't fast enough to get a pic. I honestly thought to myself, dang even wooly doesn't have a pic like that!!!!
  17. It is crazy! He actually carried the mouse back out the door in his mouth! Don't think I'll hand feed the local munks peanuts anymore either....
  18. I got home from work tonight, and was working on one of my mowers. Saw a chipmunk chase a field mouse in the back door, heard some rustling around and then some loud squeeks! Next thing I see is the chipmunk with the mouse in it's mouth! I have never seen this before! Had no idea a chipmunk could be a killer! Anyone else ever see this before?
  19. I really don't think you will have to turn your nuts in, at the door, to go to a scout meeting. Boys will be boys! Heck, a lot of our thoughts and ideas back in the day, were to figure out how to "get with the girls"! But I can see the point here. Would The Duke or Clint, russle up a bunch of girls to go chase down bad guy's? Naww....don't think so.
  20. Don't drink much at all these days. But......... On a hot summer day, a little Kettle One, in a glass filled with ice and lemonade, tastes pretty good! Or every now and then...... Just a finger or so of Crown Royale, for medicinal purposes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hehehe.
  21. Oh wow man.......a little box on a tree! What's that blinking red light????? Coooooll.......
  22. Just called "Scouts" now. Heck, I don't see the big deal, if a girl wants to be a scout. Had girls on my grandson's LL teams. And sometimes they were better than most of the boys! Scouts, are all about instilling good values in young people. ANY, kid can get something from that, along with having some "outdoor" fun!.
  23. Pan fishing is so much fun, and relaxing! Think alot of us started out, waiting for that bobber to move and go under!! It never gets old! Like Robhuntandfish said, a small tackle box, or a bag with 3 plastic trays and some side pockets, to keep all the odds and ends, will work perfect. Pick up some packs of small snelled hooks. If you can find them, get the red colored ones. Pan fish are very much attracted to color. Also pick up a couple of bright colored fly's or small crappy jigs. Tie em 18 inches or so, from your bobber with a small piece of split shot, and twitch you line a little bit, now and then. But the old worm or crawler, seems to always work best. Sit back with a cold beverage, in a comfy lawn chair and enjoy!! If I do a bit of digging. I may find enough stuff to get ya started?
  24. Based on my performance yesterday, any advice I give, can be thrown out the window! hehehe. Some good stuff here from others though!
