I don't understand why you feel the need to follow members around to inject your venom? The image of ourselves, is sometimes, not as others see us.

I was thinking the same??? I drive between 10 and 12k a year. Leasing may be the only way to afford a new truck for me?

Congratulations BowmanMike! Thanks Rob, for a fun contest!! -
Good informational poll! Be interesting to see what others think about the "Holiday Hunt"! I like it myself. And would love to get out there! But due to a medical issue, I barely got through the regular season. I'm following the doc's orders now, and taking it easy.

Do deer go completely nocturnal during late season?

Got this little buck out and about this morning. -
Thoughts and prayers sent to you and your family Don. Hopefully it will all pass quickly, with no long term effects. Merry Christmas to you too.

Niagara Falls?.............slowly I turned......... -
Whoever put your bow accessories on the bow, never bothered, or forgot to tighten everything down. The bow itself is fine. Just need to have everything tightened up, and retuned. You should be good to go after that. A reputable shop would have never let that bow out the door like that. But mistakes do happen I guess.

Any tips to get rid of an entrenched flinch habbit?
grampy replied to ApexerER's topic in General Chit Chat
Concentrate, concentrate, concentrate, on the target! A solid cheek weld to the stock. Gently pull the trigger, so that the firing of the rifle is almost a surprise when it goes off. Many have the ingrained flinch reflex. The way to reduce, or get rid of the "habit' is repetition on the range. Using solid form, good ear protection, low recoil loads, and constant concentration to NOT do it. Soon the "NEW" way of shooting will take over, and a new "ingrained" way of shooting will take place. It really is as simple as mind over matter. This advice was given to me long ago. It worked for me. -
About 30 years ago I started collecting ornaments with an outdoor theme. Picked em up here and there, mostly Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Even got one on a trip to Buffalo a couple years back. I now have a mancave tree! Separate from the tree in the living room. I enjoy mine much more!

View from one of my favorite stands on the farm. Looking west at sunset. Same stand. Looking north. View heading back home. Old barn in the background.
