Hey, I might get to use the snowblower for the first time this year!!!

Sometimes the worse demons are the ones that stay hidden in the ones we love. If we had only known, before it was too late. So very sorry for your loss Dom.
  5. I'll bet the Burrvile Bomber has plenty of volume! Great for those windy days.
  6. And still, with a crossbow, you have to have the skill and woodsmanship to consistently, put yourself 30 yards or so downwind of deer to kill them. Even with rifles, some "clowns" can only hope to get lucky. No matter what tool is in their hand. A good hunter is still a good hunter. A stumblebum in the woods is no threat to the deer population. Especially with a crossbow! Let full inclusion happen. And let each hunter decide for themselves what tool they want to hunt with.
  7. That's a slam dunk shooter for sure! Wow! Congratulations! Mount looks awesome too! I'm wondering, if a hot doe passed by there before the five point. He looks in the picture, like he's on a hot line. And the big guy following the same right behind? Whatever it was, it worked out perfectly for ya!
  8. Ya know, these "elite" hunters, are so worried about sharing the woods with, "noob, clown and brown it's down gun hunters". If you are a so much more, proficient hunter, why worry about "those" guys killing "your" deer? Shouldn't be a problem if you are the superior hunter, right?
  9. Still better than being at work!
  10. Very respectable, awesome job! Father and son making memories, it doesn't get any better! Congrat's to the both of you!
  11. Even with bad shoulders, I still shoot 15 to 20 arrows, minimum every week, year round. It's use it or lose it at this point for me. Using my old MQ-32, I can still consistently put five arrows in a six inch circle, out to 30 yards. That is my maximum hunting distance. But I can no longer hold full draw longer than a few seconds. After a few clean misses and a deer shot and not recovered, I learned a long time ago. That I'm never as good I think I am. So I strive to be as good as I can be.
  12. Pretty neat pic's indeed! Thanks for sharing!
  13. Well said. Perhaps the best common sense statement made on this thread!
  14. "As long as we stay within the law" I don't think those choices are. And again, I respect "your choice" to hunt with whatever you like, however you like. As long as it's legal, it's all good!
  15. Hope your special day is filled with nothing but the good stuff! Family, friends and good food! And perhaps a fine beverage of your choice!
  16. You can and you did! No problem at all. I respect your opinion even if I disagree.
  17. Very nice pictures! Thanks for sharing.
  18. We all pay the same for the tags to hunt. As long as we stay within the law. The choice of what we hunt with should be our own. I don't really care what another hunter decides to hunt with. And I don't want someone telling me what I can or cannot use. Besides selfishness, I see no other reason to not have full inclusion for crossbow.
  19. And you decide to use a crossbow. Will you still use a traditional, and or compound bow also, to hunt deer? If full inclusion happens this year. I will do all I can to kill one more deer with my compound, first. Nothing can compare to the satisfaction, for me, to killing a deer with my bow. But due to my increasingly bad shoulders, I will not be able to draw and hold my compound much longer. I know I'll always miss hunting with my compound but with the crossbow, at least I can still participate, and enjoy the early season hunt. What will you guy's be doing?
  20. What I meant was, "in range and capability" of the bolt or arrow. Not in ease of use. It's getting very hard for me to draw and hold my compound bow. But I can shoot my crossbow easily. But the "performance of the projectile" is similar. Settle down there big guy. I'm with ya on the crossbow issue.
  21. Happy Birthday!! Nothing but the best for you today!!
  22. I agree with this. The crossbow, in range and capability, is very similar to a modern compound bow. It's not a miracle weapon.. A crossbow will get a few more hunters out in the woods, that would not have been otherwise. But the overall deer take numbers will increase very little.
