Great pic's!! Natures camo at it's best!

Do you need to call with a french accent? Have a great trip, keep safe and best of luck to ya!
-
It will be your rifle. If you want it go for it! The only one you have to please is yourself. Gun shops can only sell you a NY legal version of the AR. Happy shooting!
-
Got primers too?
-
Those old "family" guns are a joy to look at and pass down. Even if they are not to be shot. But if it were me, I'd just have to shoot that old Winchester!
-
I very much enjoy your posts Robin! With the work you put into your trips. You seem to get double back in enjoyment. Also, great pictures as always! Thanks for sharing with us.

I too have found that full moon nights can keep birds on the roost a bit longer, in the morning. Looks like a good morning, weather wise for the young hunters on Saturday. Should be no problem if you have to wait them out a while. Best of luck to all who are participating!

One mans trash...................What did we do before C.L. came along?

Beautiful buck and mount! Congratulations! Hunting Iowa is on my bucket list.

Sorry the new model is called the Elite x3 by Lowrance. Still $100 and all you will need.
-
The Lowrance Cuda. For about $100. I've used Lowrance products on my bassboats for over twenty years and they have served me well. The Cuda is all you will need for the set up you decribed. And I'm sure it will serve you well.

For any used item, 30 days for a refund is very generous. After that, it's silly to even ask. Especially anything electronic. That's why you should ALWAYS try it out immediately after receiving the item. Case closed.

Really hope that you can find more ammo. Big difference in POI for sure. Very nice varminter ya got there! Is that a Boyd's stock or original?

Helped out a young girl who wants to hunt turkey
grampy replied to Rattler's topic in Turkey Hunting
Such an awesome thing to do! You really saved mom and daughter a ton of money. But most importantly, helping out a young or new hunter is our way of giving back To something that has given us so much. Great job Rattler! -
Recommend a replacement rangefinder
grampy replied to moog5050's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Mine doesn't have the angle compensation either. But I hunt mostly from the ground, so don't have many shot angles to worry about. -

I've had my Bushnell for a few years now and have had zero problems with it. I don't recall the model number. And mostly use it for bow season and ranging targets for practice. -
Saturday, got caught up on the honey do list. And searched out a new, (for me) launch site on the Mohawk, between locks 9 and 10. Sunday my youngest grandson, had a double header baseball game in Arlington Vermont with his travel team. Very nice day for a ballgame. But the Battenkill was only yards away and I could hear those trout calling to me!

Impressive spurs right there!

So cool for you guy's to meet up! Great detective work Larry!

No matter what it is, the first buck will always be special. Yours is extra special! Congratulations, again!

After reading the DEC report. It always leaves me with more questions than answers.

Do you pull bird out of strut to tip him over?
grampy replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in Turkey Hunting
I too prefer to wait until he comes out of full strut. Gives a nice clear view of the head and neck. -
After watching those shows, a new hunter will take to the deer woods. And after sitting for half an hour, wonder why a 150 inch ten point hasn't followed a hot doe to his tree stand.

Enjoy the hunting vacation with the Mrs.! You are a lucky man to have the one you love hunt with you and spend time in the outdoors together. Best of luck to both of you! Looking forward to pic's when you get back!

The XR's out of your gun are doing a great job! Even out to 65 yards, still plenty of pellets in the kill zone. Nice shootin!
