Sorry to hear that. Don't beat yourself up over it. Keep your chin up and turn it into something positive. I know it's hard to see now, but sometimes things like this work out better for you in the end. Best of luck to you.

Rain or shine, they'll be there in the morning. Will you? I say go get em!

Happy NGD! I know it will be fun to shoot and ammo won't break the bank. Have fun!

Your illness may or may not be related to the tick bite. But like I said earlier in this thread, better safe than sorry. Hope ya feel better soon.

Our turkey numbers are still down. But we do have at least two or three mature gobblers strutting in the fields on the farm property. If it's not pouring rain Sunday, we will set up on the edge of the woods where they are even coming out. No scouting.

My hunting buddy called tonight to ask if I'd be interested in tracking again. He has a line on a good bloodline wirehaired dachshund. Her name is Xena and she is 9 months old. Both our tracking dogs died a few years ago after long lives doing what they loved to do. So we got away from blood tracking. Not sure if we will be under the Deersearch banner this time around. But will be independent and track for local hunters. Guess I better start getting in shape.

I do practice as I hunt. In light rain, varying wind and light conditions. Practice in crosswinds or into the wind, is always done at short yardage 20 yards or less. Just like hunting will be in those conditions.

Two very nice set up's you have there! I'm sure you will be pleased with the glass upgrades. I've found that you never go wrong with better glass. Post the results after the first shooting session. So much fun shooting with the kids!

My two grandsons and I will be watching. We all like different teams so we kinda razz each other about who picks who. And we all laugh at whoever the Browns pick!

now is your chance to tell D.E.C. WHATS WRONG WITH DEER MANAGEMENT

Well said Doc. I agree 100% with you on this. -
Just curious, what is the price tag on a cam like that, all set up and ready to go? Sounds like a winner. I'm sure you will give us an honest review as always!

Funny stuff. He really had the gobbler moves down pat! Darn good gobbling too! Just a couple good friends acting out. Who hasn't done that a time or two? Our wives think my buddy and I are nuts when it comes to our hunting stories and reenactments!

I just read this in NY Outdoor News. It will be interesting to hear what DEC has to say.And what their management plan entails. -
We have a good population of them here in the hilltowns of Albany county. I see them quite regularly on our properties. Very cool critters.
-
Just another one of the wonderful gifts you get for living longer than half a century.

Beautiful and deadly indeed! Sweet bow! I'd be getting my affairs in order, if I were a deer on your hunting property!
-
Or will you leave the birds alone until Sunday morning?
-
And hopefully burned out the local tick population. Win - Win, situation!
-
Clouds of them already, around here! Got the deck stained and new patio furniture out there. But them skeeters are so bad it's hard to enjoy it. Gotta get a zapper or something!

Should include all kids under 18.

Cool video! I played it 5 times!

Nice shots and great shooting!

Congratulations on those beautiful trophies Dinsdale! Superb pictures and narrative too. Perhaps if Larry gets tired of hearing the stories, tell em again for me!

I'd contact Phade.

No messing around for me either. If I find one imbedded, it's off to the Doc's for me. Better safe than sorry. I ah, don't care to see your belly Rob.......lol
