  1. Happy Birthday! Hope your day is all you want it to be. Now, you and Schatz get out there and get a grouse or two! Best of luck!
  2. I'm still searching for the extra set of ATV keys, that I "KNOW" I hung in the garage. The Mrs. keeps saying they are right where "YOU" left them. Still looking..................
  3. Happy Birthday! Hope you take time on your special day for family, friends and a good dinner! All the best for you!
  4. Nice job! Bet they taste as good as they look!
  5. To each their own. But my rifle is far more accurate than my old Deerslayer 2 with a slug barrel and scope. And my 7mm\08 did just fine at 30 yards in VERY thick cover on my buck this year. I'm sticking with my rifle, but like I said,to each their own.
  6. All I can say, is that after more than 40 years hunting a property. The more coyotes we have, the less deer we have. This is not a guess or estimate. This is boots on the ground, see with my own eyes. As the coyote population has exploded over the years, the deer population has decreased exponentially. There is no doubt that one population has effected the other. Only a fool would say otherwise.
  7. I am a Carolina fan, but not so much a Cam fan. Yes, he does have enormous talent and skill. But he is also very streaky and tends to get down when things don't go his way. Also not big on all the showboating. But that's the NFL these days.
  8. Last year was the first for me using a rifle, after more than 40 with a shotgun. I don't miss the shotgun at all. I would keep the 270.

    New skull

Really cool! Never saw them done like that. Thanks for sharing!
  10. Happy Birthday! Hoping your day is filled with family, friends and all the good stuff! Enjoy your special day!
  11. Rodgers is taking a beating in this one for sure. I do give him props for staying in the game. One tough hombre.
  12. I've been a Panthers fan since their first year in the league. This is by far the best season they have had. That said, it's almost good to take a loss before the playoffs. Time to reset their goal for the Super Bowl. I think Arizona will be the biggest obstacle to overcome, to get there though.
  13. Happy Birthday! Hope family, friends and good times fill your special day!
  14. Would it be possible to cut a narrow walking path through the downwind side, this spring? Then you could slip through there quietly and leave them relatively undisturbed.
  15. Happy Birthday! Hope your day is filled with all the things you love. Like taking awesome pictures and finding huge sheds! I tip my old wool, hunting cap to you! Enjoy your special day! Do you get to open presents today too? Hope so.
  16. We had Santa water skiing on Warners lake yesterday before he went out for his big trip around the world! Quite a site, as it was frozen over last Christmas eve.
  17. I too have eaten tags in the past. Just salt and pepper to taste. But I have never had a bad deer season!
  18. Merry Christmas! Hope Santa brings you all something for hunting!
  19. So I guess hunters can and do, call and kill coyotes. That's good to know! Maybe there is hope for me too.
  20. Out the door for work this morning. High 50's and no jacket. I gotta admit, I kinda like it! Merry Christmas all!
  21. Learning to hunt/call coyotes, beats sitting around listening to them howl all night. Yeah I'm sure it will be a challenge. But I'm up for it! Game on! And may the best dog win!
  22. To all my HuntingNY brothers and sisters. Wishing you all a peaceful moment of reflection. A Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year! Well written Skillet.
  23. Can almost smell all the good smells coming from the growalot home! Merry Christmas!
  24. Nice picture to save and look back at, your daughter, the doe on the last day, the green grass on December 22nd! Nice job and congratulations!
