I see nothing wrong with gun makers, putting affordable, accurate rifles in the hands of the average hunter. No matter who makes them. It's a win-win for guys like myself!

I think there is a "ghost" bird on that log! Nice buck too!
-
Very well said! Wouldn't it be sooo boring if we were all exactly the same?
-
Awesome buck! Old enough to shoot, given the opportunity!

Now that we are getting to the end of October, be prepared for anything, anytime, anywhere, until the end of November. Things are starting to heat up!
-
Dandy buck! Country mile wide! Good luck!
-
It's nice you can pass up a 120-130 buck! I couldn't do that in my area!
-
I'm in too.

Perhaps an injury of some sort to the opposite side of the deer, from the deformed side of his rack.
-
Nice work! Now spend some time to enjoy it! Best part, you don't owe on it!

I have torn rotator cuff in both shoulders. I can't hold full draw for more than a few seconds. So it's draw and shoot for me now with my bow set at 50 pounds or so. Even had to change the way I draw the bow. Every day there is pain, some worse than others. I can have surgery at any time, but trying to figure what 12 weeks to take for recovery, and up to a year to be "normal" is difficult for me. Looking forward to the crossbow in a couple weeks. I can attest to shoulder issues being a real pain!

I've been following your other thread and would like to complement you and Luna! You make a great team. And will only get better. Very impressed with what you have accomplished already this year! Good luck and keep safe out there.

All four and five day weekends through November. Nine days for opening week of firearms. More hunting days than work days, for the best month of the year for hunting!
-
Just curious, are you independent or track for deersearch or both? Your sign is great!

Congratulations! Way to go kludes! Would like to hear the story too. -
Way to hang in there and get it done! Congratulations!

Decades working around printing presses have done a number on my hearing. I have excellent vision though, and rely on that more than my hearing, these days. Will be looking at some type of hearing aid in the near future.

Sorry, but I do not have it. I did read the article, as I buy the Gazette on Thursday's just for Ed's weekly write up.

4-H, New rubs and scrapes appearing each day. Smaller bucks are pestering the doe's but they show no interest in them yet. Have seen a couple bigger bucks cruising by themselves, early and late in the day.

Can't really call yourself a sportsman when you steal another hunters stand. So just call yourself what you really are. A no good, filthy, low life, thief.

I thought I was in trouble but everything ended well!

Congratulations! Nice job! -
Welcome! Glad you dropped by. When the deer are close, try to draw your bow when their head is behind a tree or brush,, so they don't pick out the movement. Keep behind something yourself, so you don't try to draw in the open. You are doing great getting close to the deer! Thats the hard part! Just try to slow down your draw and wait for the perfect time and you will close the deal. Good luck!

Wow! Those are some stud bucks! Hope to see ya in a pic with one! Best of luck to you guys.

Absolutely beautiful buck and pictures! Way to go and welcome back wooly! This site is not the same without your contributions, sir! I'm sure your friend is looking down, with a big grin and an approving nod. Best of luck to you with your remaining hunting adventures this season!

Great job! Luna is doing awesome for her first year! One of the reasons I got away from tracking was all th b.s. from people who I was trying to help.
