    Grampy!

Thanks everyone! After work, looking forward to some friends and family time tonight. Life is good!
  2. I'm all for blaze pink, orange, green or what ever other color that blazes. As long as I can see you and you can see me,it's all good!
  3. Hoping it all goes well for you guy's! Last year was the first year for rifle here in 4h. I used my deerslayer 2 as I didn't have a hunting rifle. I have one now and will not miss that 12 g. punishment from here on. That gun will be handed down to my grandson for his first deer.
  4. Read in the times union, this is the second driest spring in the capitol region since the 1860s. The first cutting for hay is on hold till we get some rain and the corn is up but not growing much. Dry and dusty here in my area.
  5. With the long nose, thicker chest and belly,he may not be as young as you think.
  6. Good deal! Wish I was closer, love beer and wings! Good luck and hope you have a big turnout!
  7. Your persistence paid off, nice job on a very nice bird! Congrats!
  8. Even the critters think it's a good place for a nice quiet walk.
  9. Perhaps we need to revoke a few man cards! ......lol Snakes, spiders and crawlies don't really bother me. But TICKS scare the bejeezus out of me and give me the heebee jeebies! As soon as I see one on me I swear there must be dozens on me.
  10. Good friendly mice eaters! I like to see them around my outbuildings. Not too many venomous ones around here. Every now and then I'll see a rattler on the side of the hill behind the house. Always by a certain rocky outcropping when I do see them.
  11. Love air shows! Looks like that was a good one!
  12. Land of the free and the home of the brave. To all the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice, to make that possible. We salute you.
  13. Awesome sheds there! Hope he survived the brutal winter and will grow an even larger set this year. If I were you,I'd have high hopes for this falls hunting season! Good luck!
  14. Lol.....Cut me off,I double posted.
  15. Two vodka and lemonades in and looking for at least a couple more!

  17. Great bird! Congrats! So cool to help the wounded warriors. Fantastic job all around!
  18. First and foremost, remembering all the brave men and women who gave all to this country. Without their sacrifices,we would not live with the freedoms we now have. All politics aside, this is still the best country in the world to live in. That said, going to open the pool tomorrow. It will be awhile before it warms up enough for me to get in there. But the grandsons will be swimming as soon as they can. Funny that when I was younger the cold water never bothered me. Has to be mid 70's at least now before I take the plunge. But will sit in below freezing weather for hours deer hunting and don't seem to mind as much. Priorities!

I absolutely knew that they were not a bunch of choir boys. And at first was very intimidated by them, knowing their reputation. But I tend to judge people by how they treat me,not by their reputation. I'm sure they have done and seen things I would never want to, I am not that naive. I myself, never observed any illegal activity being his neighbor. I gave and received respect from them just like anyone else. I'm sure alot of people will disagree with me for obvious reasons. But as I said, to me personally, they were not not the monsters many make them out to be. And I don't regret having him as a neighbor.
  20. In the past week,we have had temps as low as mid 30's,but no frost here. Looks like tonight we will have a good frost though. Will try to cover what I can with plastic and hope for the best. Apples and everthing in full bloom now. Hopefully it won't get as low as they are forcasting.

Many years ago when I lived in South Carolina, my next door neighbor was the chapter president of a very well known, worldwide M.C. I never delved into his club business, but he had a full time job and was a good husband and father. Actually he was one of the nicest neighbors I ever had. Through him,I met a few of the other members of the club and they too were always friendly to me. I could always see a very strong brotherhood between them. My personal observation of three and a half years was that they were not the monsters some make them out to be. But like I said,I didn't ask a lot of questions ether. I don't think anyone belonging to any organization should be "shot on sight", but just like anyone else if you are caught breaking the law,you should get what comes to you. Just my opinion on this subject.
  22. Very well stated, phade! My feelings exactly and I agree 100%.
