  1. Don't get on here much lately. I think the last time I was on was in July. Cam business is doing well, but the summer cam season has been slow bucks-wise. I'm sure they'll be around come rut. Good luck this fall everyone.
  2. All I can say is that the financials show to me that the women’s team is under-compensated, again, when looking at the financials. Union negotiations could have been a bad deal, or done not in good faith if the USSF’s financial layout blurred the income streams to the point it was not easily determined who made what. This was cleared after the audit was conducted. Women bring in more gross revenue, spend less in expenses, and have higher net profit. Any BS about how one soccer player acts, how hairy her crotch may be, or how little people may agree or disagree with her beliefs is irrelevant to me based on facts of compensation. Also, I fully disagree that supporting this scenario is going against the grain of any American values systems. Same with the insinuation that people who think the women are under-compensated do not understand how people are paid in a free market. There may be people with better business acumen than me on this site, as we don’t always know backgrounds. What I can say is that I personally lead and am responsible for a P+L that is larger than what these soccer players are discussing. It’s clear to me the under-compensation exists. I will speak no more on this topic. Enjoy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Behind the scenes reasoning is USSF tried to blur the two revenue streams. Last collective bargaining was based off of financials that were very hard to decipher. The growth of the women’s income is what really made it visible based on increased marketing opps. They had so many new deals that it had to be larger than before. The audit was conducted and it showed insight into the revenue streams. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Market opportunity doesn’t matter. Demonstrated financial results do. Business A made more, spent less, and generated higher net revenue. They’re not asking for Business B’s bonus. They’re asking to be paid in line with Business B out of their own revenue stream, which again is larger, more efficient, and profitable. And let’s not forget the men’s team is in full support. They want to integrate a revenue sharing pay system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Lol. Good grief. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. USSF financial statements. Confirmed by audit of one of the big 4 CPA firms. You are really grasping at straws. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Resorting to what if. Ignorance of facts. Facts. Business A brings in more revenue, spends less, brings in more profit, and employees are paid less than employees in Business B, which is less profitable, spends more, and brings in less revenue. Same task being completed in a non-free market employer situation. National team. Not another next block over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Women’s team expenses are less and generated multiple times more net revenue than the men. $9M vs $3M during the recent years. Some of the mindsets are indeed unbelievable. Ignorance on full display. Any attempt to try to say pay is equal or close to for contract players is based off of pay for performance - the women win and men do not win nearly as much. Women have to overperform to come close to men who don’t. And they’re doing it while making more money for the USSF and spending less in expenses. Face it, some of you guys here are showing and demonstrating the exact cause of the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. People who don’t understand how players are compensated. The billions of revenue claim come from overall value of the event that is owned and run by FIFA. Players are compensated by the governing body of the national country which is USSF here. Claims of revenue by FIFA doesn’t mean squat because the checks come from the USSF. FIFA pays USSF and USSF can do what they want with the payments (usually spelled out in contracts) USSF’s audited records show the women made more money for the USSF the past three years. For non-tournament games, such as friendlies, their contract is written for 20 games. If the women won all 20 and the men won all 20. The men make more than $250K, and the women make less than $100K. What soccer is worth on the global stage is irrelevant as the comp is men’s US and women’s US revenue streams. It’s blatant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Let’s also not forget the MEN’s national team has come out with public support for the women’s lawsuit on this topic. Here is their quote - "The United States National Soccer Team Players Association fully supports the efforts of the US Women's National Team Players to achieve equal pay," reads the statement. "Specifically, we are committed to the concept of a revenue-sharing model to address the US Soccer Federation's 'market realities' and find a way towards fair compensation." 11. U.S. women's soccer games have generated more revenue than U.S. men's games over the past three years. That's according to audited financial statements from the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) obtained by The Wall Street Journal. In 2016, women's games generated $1.9 million more in revenue than men's games. From 2016 to 2018, women's games generated approximately $50.8 million in revenue, compared with $49.9 million for men's games. The audit was conducted by one of the big 4 CPA firms. 12. I’m not going to go into detail but I know players on both the men’s and women’s national teams over the years. One of which is on this women’s team now and she is a starter, goal scorer, and an elite player at the international and club level. She makes peanuts compared to the men. Peanuts. If it wasn’t for appearances and camp and product sponsorships she’d barely be able to play the sport. She slept on friends couches up to 25-26 years old. Literally. 13. World Cup income is only one portion of overall national player contracts. As someone who played soccer and was in the US development programs, many of you are missing that key critical part of financial worthiness. I don’t know why the women’s team doesn’t talk about it however. For the past three years, the women’s team have generated more profits for the US soccer federation than the men. That’s the US governing body which signs the contracts and pays all wages. How would you feel bringing in more profit for your employer than your peers and being compensated less? Probably not good. 16. Storm - What you are looking for is the Browning Defender or the new Stealth. Not sure if thy Stealth is out yet. Either way it’s not proven. Defender is best option. Not a great seller because it uses non-common battery size. That said in your specific need this cam will work great. You can also live view to ensure it’s set up right. Connectivity distance isn’t great - none of the Bluetooth cams have great distance. Another option is Cuddelink with a multi cam setup. Set the cam up high and thumbnails can be sent to another camera or a home unit using RF. You simply check the SD card of the second cam to get images from both units. I sell both but don’t stock the Defender. Only ever had two people ask about it as it’s a niche camera. Would take about a week to order in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I don’t visit here as often as I used to but I ran across this and figured I would put in my two cents. #1 Get rid of the straps and use screw in mounts. Straps will carry more scent, longer. Use ground post stakes if no trees. #2 Cam shells can and do hold scent but mostly from the manufacturing process. Most cams are hit with a release agent from the casting mold. That agent is made of fish oil. This is one of the reasons why bears destroy cams. #3 Cam noise and sight cause way more issues than human scent on the camera in my opinion. You see a lot of deer sniffing cams but it’s often a secondary confirmation as to whether the cam is a threat or just plain old curiosity. It’s already been seen and or heard by the deer and they walk up to sniff. #4 High mounting can help. It reduces cam efficiency in my experience (the trigger zones are made for horizontal setting). #5 Spend more time thinking about and setting the cam in the right spot than scent control. Your intrusion is what it is. Setting the cam in the right spot likely minimizes the impact of the intrusion - if you really think about it. See picture for one example. 18. Bigger solar farms do have a fair amount of worker traffic. There's a proposal in our town to install one and has support; estimates show 30 employees based on the submission documents on an ongoing basis. It has to be fenced, too. I would expect changes in the immediate area but deer are adaptable and you'll adapt to them.
  19. I go to Florida often for work. In a current stretch of 5 trips in 7 weeks. Jan to April is nice...the humidity hit last week finally. For those outside of NYC, people in NY can move to several states and experience somewhat similar living conditions or close enough that it's tolerable or possibly more attractive. Florida is an outright change in nearly every aspect. Snakes included. One thing I will say is that bowhunters in Florida who are regularly successful - I think they're pound for pound the most skilled of any state east of the MS. They put up with monumental conditions working against them and do the work to make it happen. Not alot of "easy" bowhunting in Florida.
  20. good area...bears, too.
  21. A few weeks back I had the flu and couldn't sleep. Flipping TV channels at 2 or 3 in the AM, I came across some documentary or Dateline type show that walked through Notre Dame and the status that it was in. Essentially the funding wasn't there to upkeep the building and it was REALLY BAD. The curator was showing examples where there were roof issues and what not. Funding was obtained through, of all things, a lotto ticket. France sold a scratch off lotto ticket series where the take was directed to Notre Dame upkeep. It was a start, but the show ended saying it was not enough and might have been too late. The scaffolding was the part of the upkeep beginning. They took the bronze statues down before the fire. I remember thinking if I were filthy rich, this would have been a cause worthy of donation, and that I hoped the wealthy might begin to influx cash. And then the Nyquil kicked in. Really very surreal to see it burn only a few weeks later and see the wealthy commit to alot of money donations to restore. It reminds me of the fable about the frog and boiling water. Boil water and toss a frog in...it jumps out. Put a frog in room temperature water and slowly raise to a boil and he cooks. Gradual vs sudden change adaptability is a human weakness sometimes.
  22. I see nothing wrong, and there is a form of "dwarfism" in whitetails. They have smaller bodies/short stubby legs. Pretty rare.
  23. i have to say I have Hankook DynaPro ATMs. They were affordable (comparatively) and have a more than average aggressive look to them, but not crazy like the MT lugs. Pretty solid all-arounds. What I am really impressed with is their wear. I've put 27K on them and really just now starting to show some age. For the $, I am a happy camper with them. If I hit 40K with them, I'd consider it my best tire purchase ever. I have never had that lifespan with tires before. On anything.
  24. Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but that seems to conflict. Aren't you doing what they do, which in turn makes you mad?
