I agree, you bump deer often enough or they pick up on you being there they will relocate, especially big bucks. They just dont like humans... I dont think they leave right away and there is no exact number,it all depends.

it is a different angle a the tip, less steep to make the tip stronger. That's what i think... -
lets see some pics. sedimentary rocks can be a problem, metamorphic ones(made by heat) are safer.
-
Oh man, that sounds awesome. I would be up for that. My schedule is flexible...
-
Looks pretty good to me,both of them. I never hunted out of one though. I do like hunting from the ground and use fallen trees or brush or whatever to conceal myself a little. Drawing is a challenge though.
-
Happy birthday Eddie!
-
I have to secure some sponsors for team 2. Maybe Saranac brewery will fund us.
-
Aha!!! That would make sense...
-
Have you tried hanging from it with your prussik knot? What @Nomad said was spot on,the prussik might not grip on nylon. I would buy a climbing rope or tree work rope if i was to make my own line.
-
It looks to me like your target has the heart further back than the real thing,so i would say your three shots were about perfect. I think you would have gotten the top of the heart on all three.
-
What is that line rated to? I would not try to save money on safety equipment. When in doubt, throw it out.
-
A broadhead as first shot and a fieldpoint as the 2nd. I take a two inch spread at 34 yds. That was probably me anyway.
-
Happy birthday muchacho. Have a great day.
-
Let's do it. Next year?
-
Lots of red oak acorns here too. That will mean the deer will be able to jang out wherever they feel safe and have some oaks nearby. Makes it a little harder to hunt these parts.
-
I wish i had some input, bowhunting in the park is on my bucket list.
-
I got some black eagle 300 spine with 85 gr inserts and 125gr single bevel broadhead. They weigh 560 grains total, more if i go with lighted nocks. I am still debating that. FOC is around 18%. I shoot 60# at 30" DL,i get around 245 fps out of my halon x with these.
-
You are ahead of me for sure. I haven't gotten anything in the mail,i bought all tags on the 10th. I still have 28 days so i am not worried....yet
-
Did you look all the tags over closely? The fishing license looks just like all the other tags.
-
Fieldpoint,bareshaft and broadhead at 20.
-
Scout until i find sign to good to pass up.
-
Looks like @Jeremy K has been working out, good for him!
-
I am glad i dont have to go through hanging stands anymore. Put that on the pro side for saddlehunting. There was just a post on saddlehunter.com about someones ladderstand buckling as well. That's crazy to hear, you would think they are way overbuilt.
-
Yes,replace it since the folded and sown up webbing that cushions the fall arrest will be straightened out.
-
Wow Chef,i am so happy you hooked up your harness. Putting up a stand is the most dangerous part, and you did good by having another person helping. Getting out of that hanging pickle by yourself would have taken some clever thinking.
