Shhh you're giving away secrets for faster cutting.
-
If you buy online do they send you confirmation email, I would think that would be enough to show DEC until you can get a replacement.
-
I have to agree with gjs4, my food seems to taste much better than restaurants I have visited not to mention a lot less toilet time afterwards. Its the whole hind quarters in the crock pot!
-
Looks like 4R if you're talking about the Denver in Delaware County.

Use the interactive WMU map. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/45415.html

I wish I had that much free time. Feel free to come by and entertain my 2 year old for a weekend, you'll be exhausted. Watch what you wish for! Don't get me wrong I lover my son to death but getting anything done with him and a 9 week old is almost impossible. This weekend I managed to pull out 4 bushes, and planted 6 trees (4 honey crisp apples and 2 bartlett pears). Having my 2 year old tag along was fun but a little counter-productive.

I use it a lot for fishing, I fish a lot of different waters and the legal sizes are all different

So I just got an email from DEC showing that they added a new feature to their app. You can now report your harvest via the app. No longer needing to go online or call. I always used to use the website because my cell reception is spotty at best. Here is a link: https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/NYSDEC/bulletins/195beb1

I don't think he can change it at a state level though. Maybe federal lands but with state lands I don't think he can do anything. It is like the national carry, you would be able to carry in other states but their laws will dictate how you can carry being a non-resident and no permit within that state.

I have saw guys get comfortable using chaps then decided one day to not wear them because it was just a a quick job and now they have a big scar where the saw got them. My cousin has a nice scar from where the saw kicked up and caught him across the face wearing the safety helmet, glasses and everything didn't save him but turning his head allowed him to keep his nose and eyes. He got very lucky.

Yeah and I just dug out the area for our addition's crawl space, gotta love seeing a small stream running through your basement to your sump pump. I wonder what the shorelines on lake ontario look like now.

You couldn't be more right! Chaps I don't think are a necessity when running a saw keep yourself out of the way so if something does happen your body isn't the next thing the saw cuts into. I would rather put my chain into a rock or dirt than my foot or leg. If you use your head when running a saw you will be fine, it is when you are trying to rush or not paying close attention (too comfortable) is when you get hurt. Experience plays a big role.

I would rather wear gloves when clearing brush or bucking logs. I have saw a GOOD pair of leather gloves save peoples hands and fingers. My long sleeves are usually tighter, not as tight as Moog's but tighter.
-
Safety glasses, ear plugs, work gloves, long sleeve shirt, steel toe. I was thinking about one of those all in 1 helmets but every time i pick one up they are heavier than I would like. Chaps are a great idea just haven't spent the money on them. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

In that price range you will be getting the Ford models that had a fair amount of issues spark plugs blowing out, and lacked a lot of power. From 03-early 07 the silverados had gauge cluster issues, sometimes wheel bearing problems, and spongy brakes unless you put quality pads and rotors on them, then rocker and cab corner rot. Ram in those years were straight ugly and transmission problems. If you want a reliable older truck I would be looking at GM products. The GM 5.3L (not sure if you're a car guy but close to the same as those old GM 327 motors) is a pretty bullet proof motor compared to the others of the same year transmission wise I don't think it will fail you. My truck is a 03 like I mentioned before with 100k miles on it and I have replaced the brake lines and soon the fuel lines, front wheel bearings, and that is it. My wife says I beat on my truck but I use the truck as a truck, hauling and towing isn't nice to any truck no matter how much you keep your foot out of it.

FWIW the 2011 Ram got one of the worst safety ratings out of all truck manufactured. My dad owns one and other than a little surface rust on the rear rocker it has served him well I think he has around 100k on it no issues other than tires wear fast for some reason. My next truck will likely be a 2500 Ram or 2500 Sierra. I'm not a ford fan nor of their V8 engines that have been plagued with issues for years. The twin turbo V6 is overrated and for the price they want for that engine I'll buy a 2500 in another model and be able to pull just about anything and still save myself several thousand dollars. IMHO if you use a truck for a truck and not just a daily driver look into a HD in any brand. I don't use my truck as a daily driver but when I do drive it I'm hauling or towing something and usually nothing light. My truck is a 2003 1500 Silverado Ext. cab 4wd and towed our 8k lbs. camper, landscape trailer loaded with firewood, 3 ton excavator, 9k lbs. dump trailer, 6k lbs. boat on a regular basis during the summer (everyday for a whole summer) I have towed a lot with this little truck and she just keeps ticking along. Granted while towing I can watch the gas gauge move but she has served me well. I'm not sure what you are looking to do but I wouldn't be too fast to rule out GM products if you are trying to find a dependable pickup.

Went over to hunt the Erwin state land on the Friday afternoon before the season ended, only person in the woods based on the empty parking lot. I headed in new to the area never been there had my cell phone and what I thought was all charged. I have a very good photographic memory (numbers haha good luck) and can remember things like weird trees, pile of rocks, whatever is out of the ordinary. I managed to get turned around at some point, I think it was when I was crawling through some brush for around 75 yards. Anyway long story short I made it back out but did have that "Awwee crap I think I'm lost!" moment. I pulled my phone to to check the GPS and found I only had 10% left. I decided to put it on power save mode and only use it unless I needed someone to come rescue me. I carry some of the essentials like my knife, saw, rope, matches, MRE heat pack (mostly magnesium) in case I don't have any good kindling, some band-aids and a little gauze. My shoelaces are 550 cord so I was pretty set and not to mention a box of .270 ammo. So if I had to stay the night I could. Anyway I made it back to the truck about 30 minutes before sunset. That was a little nerve racking until I started to recognize a little bit of the area only thing I kept telling myself is to keep my mind about me and that I would eventually make it out to a road it wasn't like I was hunting in the ADKs or bigger area.

They obviously want to retire off your deck. Ask them you want it itemized and see what they are charging for labor. I am willing to bet they didn't want to do your deck so they over estimated. I know of guys in my area that will do this.

Looks like this one with lots of AG and I would say the same 2 1/2. Here is a little better picture.

That's crazy talk there aren't any exceptions to the rules or gray area! -
One of the best gifts a kid can get, well that is my mentality maybe not the kids'. I look at it this way, if the kid doesn't want to hunt it will pay for itself in fishing licenses.
