We utilize air layering quite a bit down here on tropicals. It doesn't work on all species, but I'd still give it a try. Nothing to lose. -

I've had (and sold) a couple of AR's. One was an Alexander Arms custom chambered in 6.5 Grendel and was so accurate it was actually boring to shoot. I was going to take it deer hunting, but some guy had lots of cash and wanted it badly. So, I obliged his want.

I don't carry my Judge... too cumbersome and hard to conceal. Mine is a bedside weapon with 000 buck or a truck gun.

It seemed like everything I wanted to carry would just not quite fit under the cover. Additionally, on the early ones, it was a PIA trying to keep the back truck window clean. On my last cap (however) I was able to get a fold down rear window. That was great, so that problem actually went away. I also had leakage problems, wiring issues and cosmetic issues (apparently related to the hot Florida sun). Those are the main reasons I went away from caps.

Gave up on caps. My latest "like" are the Diamondback covers. Easy to install. Easy to fold or remove. The HD models can carry up to 1600 hundred pounds on top.
