I too have given up on Remington. My last two were just plain lousy in fit and finish, function and accuracy. Pizzonem.

Happy Birthday. Anybody with a name like that must be a cool dude!
-
That's a dandy. Congrats.

With all due respect, I do comprehend the word ARBITRARY! Seems to me the entire discussion should focus on accuracy, effectiveness and providing "clean kills". Having some goobermint official decide on what is fair or not (based on emotion or feelings) is not the correct approach.
-
Sorry G Man, I cannot comprehend your explanation.
-
200# is just a stupid, arbitrary number. Many of the new Xbow offerings are NYS illegal due to that... plus the 17" limb tip measurement.
-
Great game. Congrats to Georgia. Go you hairy dawgs!
-
LOL. Nothing like no hair on the Twinkie!

Very sad. I met Charlie once. He was very nice. Losing a good one that young is saddening. RIP Sir.

The de-cocking feature is certainly a nice addition. Both of my Xbows can also be de-cocked without shooting. It's a shame that the NY regs don't allow many of the newer, hotter Xbow selections to be legally utilized.

From what I'm told, the ECO (female) in my area is a real piece of work. They say she'd ticket her own mother. I've not yet had an encounter with her... but I could imagine it not going well.

Really ??? WOW.

The new Scorpyd DS is pretty solid. There have been some minor concerns regarding the cocking sled hitting the barrel supports (on one side) but it is not a major issue (apparently). It's the lightest Scorpyd and plenty fast.

Cute little buggar!

Politicians oath of office... Spending other people's money is fun!

Guess I'm just an old fart. I do not pick and choose what laws to obey. As much as I detest these stupid NY regs, I will comply with them until they change. It would be just my luck to be the one hunter checked and have illegal equipment confiscated. No thanks.

I remember (long ago) my Dad telling me... it's not what you make, it's what you spend! Several states (such as my home state of Florida) have no state income tax. Coming from NY, it was a welcomed treat.

It's easy for the deer. They just turn to page 1 of The Deer Survival Manual. It clearly lists all the hunting zones and dates for them to memorize. LOL

The stupid NY laws for draw weight and width rule out a lot of solid choices. On the recurve front, Kodabow is as solid as they come. It's built like a tank, and I have never heard anything about limb splintering (think Excalibur) or other issues. Mission makes very good Xbows... some allow for string changeout without pressing. My favorite "hunting" designed Xbow is Camx. Supposedly, they are coming out with a new, quieter model in 2018. Some of the current ones (the 330) will likely be available at discounted pricing. I'd be scoping things out after the upcoming ATA show.

It is indeed. Thanks.

Stupid law. Stupid concept. Stupid Governor. -
I have a beautiful Air Arms 200 HC and typically shoot (very accurately) Beeman Precision Airgun FTS pellets. They are .22 caliber and weigh 14.66 gr. Squirrels hate these!

That is a dandy. Should look great on the wall.
