Welcome! Nice folks on here. Watch out for Pygmy! LOL
  4. Every year, when I come north for deer season, I like to try different weapons. Some are mine and some I oftentimes borrow from friends. I always bring a main and a back-up rifle. This year, for my main rifle, I'm bringing an old Win 94 in .32 Spl. It was my Dad's from the 50's and 60's. For my back-up I'm not sure. Here are a few choices... 1). Ruger #1 in .300 H&H..safe queen 2). Dakota Model 10 in .257 Roberts ..safe queen 3). Browning X Bolt in .223... new and not bloodied 4). Sako 75 in .30-06... proven killer 5). Win 1885 Low Wall in .243... sweet and light single If the choice were yours, which would you bring and why???!!! HELP ME CHOOSE
  5. Does look like a katydid. I've never seen a red one though. Very interesting.
  6. Wow. Don't own one, but PSE is generally G2G. I'll bet they will make them right.
  7. Good luck folks! I'll be stuck down here cleaning up storm damage, but will be up at the end of October.
  8. We are rocking' and rollin' here now. The eye is directly below us and heading north. Looks like 80+ mph winds for several hours duration. Still have power but lights are flickering. Lots of rain and trees down. Oh joy!
  9. LOL. It's just a novelty joke. They won't "get loose" and require treatment. Most people just freak out when they see them.
  10. Yeah, but now it has butt light! LOL
  11. Now, looking for the Queen's cave?
  12. Being prudent is the key. I've lived in Florida since 1976 and have been through several hurricanes. We keep window coverings handy, and can slap them up in an hour. I have extra propane, batteries, tarps, generator, etc. Food and water are stocked and vehicles gassed up when first mention of storms are made. I have had power go out occasionally, but it is usually back on by the next day. Besides that, the area that I now live in is quite high (for Florida) in elevation at 180' above sea level.
  13. Very nice! Sounds like a great trip. Congrats to all.
  14. Me no drinky coffee. It's either water or tea.
