You're writing about evil spirits being conjured. I believe TWT is the paper of record for witches and TDP is, of course, the paper in the world of Harry Potter. It was a joke.

Do you write for The Wiccan Times or The Daily Prophet?

Opportunity allowed me to spend a week fly fishing the Margaree River in Cape Breton, NS, a stunningly beautiful part of Canada. We arrived on Sunday to find that the guide we booked had a heart attack that morning and we were more or less on our own. Fortunately, word spread up and down the river and people were more than helpful with advice on how to fish the Margaree. Low water put the fish down for the majority of the week but a rain on Tuesday put some life back in them and we connected on Wednesday with four strikes for me and one salmon to hand. Also landed a large fat brown way up in the Highlands on a salmon fly of all things. I found out later that some guys fished for three years before they caught their first salmon. We swung wet and dry flies through a variety of pools (two casts - one step downstream - two casts - repeat) and near the end of the week I thought I'd count casts. We averaged 80 casts per pool and fished each pool twice. On our busiest days we fished 6 pools. 160 x 6 = 966 casts on an 8wt. I don't take fish pics but here we are walking into a typical pool st 6:00 am

Left-handed Rem 700 .270?
left field replied to left field's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
No. Second thoughts and left the country for a fishing trip. I may swing by the shop next week. Though as we were driving home (16 1/2 hours ... damn) we stopped at the LL Bean flagship store (cool place) and they had another used 700 BDL in 7mm. Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something. As we were driving through NB we passed a convoy of pickups trucks with NY plates that had five moose racks and some very large coolers in the truck beds. -
Sorry for your loss.

Old Hunting pics from early 1900's
left field replied to SmokeinTN's topic in Hunting Related Pictures
And they had to stand perfectly still for a minute or so due to long exposures. That also why few people smiled in old pics. There's a pic in my family where everyone has this serious look on their face but for the one guy in the middle who sports a big smile. I asked my grandfather who he was and he said, "that's your great great uncle, Nikoli. We were at his funeral." Apparently, that was a thing back then. -
Cool shots. There's an instagram account called "Old School Hunting" that's worth following: https://www.instagram.com/oldschoolhunting/?hl=en

Left-handed Rem 700 .270?
left field replied to left field's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
So many left-handed brethren! Any issues with the '80s Remingtons? Any in particular to look out for? Thanks. -
I still don't have a bolt action rifle and came across this at a shop. Some age showing on the stock and as near as I can tell from the serial number it was made in 1984. Hard enough to find anything that caters to the sinister side so this caught my eye. $700 with scope (didn't notice which scope). Opinions?

That's what I thought, but it struck me that just maybe it WMU. I also just opened a letter from the county that my request for a DBA was turned down because I live out of county though I have property in county.

Half of tree stand falls were fatal, 100% were preventable

Thanks, Wolc. Interesting points. -
Really stupid question, but how do they define "resident" and "non-resident"? State or WMU? If the latter, I've been throwing money away for a few years now.

Are Lacrosse lighter than Muck Boots. I love my MB and can spend a day in them but they weigh a ton.

Other than kids, animals, certain family members, and the unwilling, I don't care how you get off. Adult consensual sex with chicks with dicks? Knock yourself out, sport. But if you're going to come out (see what I did there?) against alternative sexual relationships then at least have the balls to come (again) clean when you're busted. His excuse is great ... it just popped up on my phone. I have had a smart phone for as long as they have been in existence and have looked at saucy sites upon occasion. What has never happened is a porn site magically appearing on my phone. People's lives would be a lot easier if they could just admit that they like snails and oysters, sometimes together.

Thanks. Are you happy with it? Reviews are mixed. Some love them while others feel they are too loosely woven and offer little protection in wind. Seem to be a few production issues as well. Do you feel a little Robin Hoody while wearing it?

I remember one of the selling points to the hunting boot version - "moccasin-like sole so you can feel the forest floor beneath you." I felt that forest floor for about a week.
-
Funny. My first advice from an experienced hunter about grouse was, "get a decent pair of boots ... not those damn Bean boots!"
-
I'll try a pair. I like them for quick rainy jaunts, but after a full day my feet are killing me.
-
Asbell users - I'm considering a pullover, how did you determine size? Anorak or Pathfinder? I like my bean boots but after a few hours the bottom of my feet are killing me. Need more support.

My first camera was stolen 50' from my back door. Now all my cameras are locked - even the one 15' up a tree overlooking my driveway. The deer pics are great but I really get a kick out of all the animals that walk by. Especially the ones who come and inspect the camera. Stealth cams have served me well.

No personal experience but if you have some time take a look at the rooftop tent subforum on expedition portal. There should be a good amount of info. https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/forums/roof-top-tents-and-awnings.138/
