  1. In all seriousness, that's a good point. The person who shot and killed bigfoot would be eviscerated on social and regular media to the point of complete and total ruin.
  2. I get that. I'm hoping to cultivate some shitake mushrooms in logs this year but the snow is keeping me out of my property. Good luck.
  3. If you're in their area, the Catskill Forest Association offers grafting for a reasonable cost.
  4. 25 acres in Delaware County of mixed hardwood, two ponds, a ridge, thick blackberries and four cabins. Hunt, physical work, chill. 7.5 acres of waterfront in NS of rock, pine and blueberries. No structure. Chill and watch whales. 2000 sq ft in NYC with 800 sq ft roof deck with mixed grasses, pines and cypress. Work, work, some chill.
  5. And gas only lasts about six months. What drove me crazy was that half the time they were stone cold Z killers and the other half they were "run away run away" depending on what the plot needed. That's the textbook definition of lazy writing. Let me guess, at some point, Rick said to Negan, "I'm gonna kiiill yuuu".
  6. The show has been in the tank for a number of seasons. Let me guess, at some point, someone was walking through the woods, stopped and six zombies popped out from behind a tree.
  7. ^^Bingo. The only thing I would trade for water is a killer view.
  8. If by water you mean a lake in let's say the Adirondacks, then I would suggest there is nothing better than sitting on a dock at twilight and listening to loons. Brook, stream, river, pond, lake or ocean, water is not only a focal point for wildlife but more importantly, it has a calming effect on the mind. My current place is in the woods with two ponds and multiple springs. I can sit for hours on the deck and watch the water and the songbirds, hawks, frogs, snakes, racoons, deer, porcupines, fishers, insects and fish that are drawn to it. Without those ponds, I wouldn't have bought the place. They're not making any more waterfront. Grab some if you can.
  9. Thanks, @adkhunter71 for the great event. Lots of nice people. Lots of good beer. Lots of plaid shirts. (It was Brooklyn, after all.) Look forward to the next one.
  10. @adkhunter71 Looks like I can make it and will be bringing another board member from TU as well.
  11. Really handsome breed. And nice to see breeders unified in putting working ability over conformation.
  12. I saw your booth at the FFFT the other night but didn't have a chance to say hello. Not sure I can make this as it doesn't look like there's an easy way to make it over from uptown. Good luck.
  13. Imagine a reporter for CNN holding up a shotshell and saying, "every time I pull the trigger once with that round it's like thirty people shooting ... thirty bullets come out of there ... thirty rounds come out of there." So the argument is, "Hey guys, don't ban the AR, there are other guns capable of far more damage." Nugent is an idiot and Jones needs a throat lozenge.
  14. Airedale, if you're into ratting you should follow a buddy of mine on instagram who's the top "organic rat abatement" guy in the country. https://www.instagram.com/themongrolhoard/
  15. Stick with the series. There are episodes coming up that are much better than E1. Watched Wind River last night based on these recommendations. Other than Renner mumbling through most of it, very good and shocking movie. My wife cringed through some of it.
  16. Pretty much a whiteout right now in Harlem and the crazy wind has ripped cladding off a neighbouring building. I was going to go up to my camp this weekend to prune apple trees and start log shitakes but now, pizza and netflix at home.
  17. This is a pet peeve of mine. I'm always shocked at how adult men swear a blue streak in public in front of kids or women . And much to the chagrin of my young nieces and nephews, I always say something. The sad thing is these guys don't even realize that they shouldn't be swearing in public. There was a guy at a Barnes and Noble swearing into his phone - not angrily, just peppering F into his conversation. Every second word. Loudly. I finally called out to him to stop swearing and he looked at me like I was insane - as if I asked him to stop speaking. He moved on after realising what I was talking about. I'm sure I'm going to get shot someday.
  18. I saw something similar at a photography shop and asked the clerk who bought them. "Really creepy guys" was his reply.
  19. NS is Canada's most beautiful province. Peggy's Cove is stunning, and considering it's proximity to Halifax, one of the more unique communities in the province. More tourists than residents though. I would take a trip up to Cape Breton and drive the Cabot Trail. Think rugged Scottish Highlands, but with lobster. Any side road will take you off the beaten track to a small fishing community like Bay St Lawrence or Meat Cove. Enjoy.
