My view is that the weekend warrior sees hunting only as an adventure and a fun activity. True hunters sees it as a way of life.

That looks like the makings of a pimp jacket right there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm lucky enough to be friends with a couple of personal trainers so I have used some in the past. They are more than just used for motivation. They help cater a workouts to maximize your time at the gym. Can you do so on your own? Maybe. Does having a personal trainer help? Yes. Running on a treadmill and lifting weights is definitely better than sitting on a couch but if you were like me where I was already doing that and wanted a little more result, a personal trainer helped. After a while, once I had the a regimen catered to me and I felt I could do it on my own, I stop the one on one visits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The more I read up about it the more I'm starting to think it might be legal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm not 100% positive on crossbows but I think it might be illegal. But like CVABob said, more often then not, cops will let it slide. It's sort of like J-walking. If they want to be a jerk they can bust you for it if they want. Too answer the OP, Vince1. DEC has nothing to do with One Police Plaza so that's why you're getting two different answers. They have two separate set of rules and you have to follow both. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most likely a poacher who thought he was about to be busted and made a hasty retreat. It might have even been you who startled him. He was probably watching you the whole time waiting for you to leave so he could finish the job. $15 a pound? So that means they would have to turn around and sell it for $18-$20 a pound? Me and my family bicker all the time. But it's done internally. To those outside of the circle, we look like we all get along. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had a ostrich wing (the drum stick section) many years ago in Toronto. The dang thing was the size of my arm. Too tough for my liking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That is sort of my point. Suspending the license for some of these poachers means absolutely nothing. They need to have other forms of punishment that will deter them. Even jail time if it's multiple offenses.

That's my same thought process. I'll be down there for a wedding in March. Decided on hogs and javelinas due to a combination of it being affordable and something different that NYS game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'll be in San Antonio in March and looking for an outfitter for hog/javelina hunting. During the summer, my friend's brother told me not to book an outfitter as their cousin has a ranch and hog hunts all the time. Just yesterday he tells me things are not going well between them and this cousin so I should start considering alternate arraignments. Figure I ask just in case but have any one here hunted hogs near San Antonio that has an outfitter that they would recommend? I'm thinking of either one of these two so far but I've only really now started looking. http://www.4amigosranch.com/ http://southtexashuntingoutfitters.com/south-texas-hog-hunting Thanks

I always wondered. If a guy is already poaching, does he really care if his hunting license is suspended for "x" number of years? Not like he needs a license to continue to poach. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone following this Ferguson stuff going on?

They targeted the shop Michael Brown stole the cigars from and looted the place. I guess they are blaming that shop owner as well? What logic is that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I've only seen one bear. Its was during the summer. Certainly won't be seeing any today from my office at work.

Not too long ago, nobody believed the existence of Bigfoot but apparently you can hunt them over a BBQ ribs bait pile as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
