Welcome to the sport and welcome to the forum!

I just watched Sundays episode and the are so close to going to war with Negan but they are just dragging it out. I have a feeling this season will end just before the war starts and we are left hanging until next season.

And I could have sworn that deer ran away before the walkers got to it but I guess it could have been the fact that i'm not fully paying attention out of boredom.

Our house didn't lose power until this morning for about an hour. I assume this was NYSEG shutting our grid down to fix something to get everyone back up and running. We have a generatic whole home generator and i must say with a 6 and 3 year old at home I love the peace of mind. It came with the house but now after having it i would gladly pay for one. Power goes out no big deal life goes on as normal.

First shot today and first shot since archery season is the one that is high center on the target. The bow is sighted in for broadheads still so the other three that are all high left would have been right on the mark. This was only at 10 yards just to scratch the itch I've been having. Ended up shooting 12 at 10 yards and 12 at 20 yards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have been nursing a Sear-Kenmore (that's right the name on it is Sears-Kenmore that's how old it is) that was my grandparents. I've replaced the guts twice since I've had it going back probably 6-8 years. I want to replace it but the freeking thing just wont die. the wind storm the other day blew it over the lid, grill grates, and ceramic charcoal things are strewn about the yard I haven't even bothered to pick up the mess but i guarantee the thing will go back together and still work. Darn!

Speaking Of Lost, What's The Worst Thing You've Lost?
Moho81 replied to Lawdwaz's topic in General Chit Chat
Worst thing I ever lost was a gold necklace charm that my grandmother gave me when I was a kid. I never really wore it because I'm not much into jewelry even today all i wear is my wedding band. I am still baffled as to where it went because last i knew it was safe in my dresser drawer. I went to put it on one day and it was no longer there. I tore my room apart looking for it. It still bums me out even today. Only other thing I can think of is I had my first gun ever the first gun i ever took a deer with a Remington 870 20ga stolen out the trunk of my car. technically I didn't lose it but it still sucks. I was just 17 or 18 years old and i had my car packed for hunting at work because i was leaving right from work to go to camp. The even shittier part is what they really went to steal was my sound system . CD player, subwoofer's and amp. the gun ended up being a bonus for them. i could give 2 shits less about the sound system stuff but I want that gun back even almost 20 years later. -
I am just slowly losing interest. hopefully they kick it up a notch in the next episode. Negan started out with such great promise

This seems like the wrong way to solve a problem. I cant imagine any good can come from this.

Gosh I use to steelhead fish all the time. Just another hobby that got sucked up by life. I loved the early spring run after a month of no small game hunting it was great getting back outdoors. It was cold it's was windy it was miserable but man did I love to do it. Hooking a big steelhead and listening to that reel scream as it ran! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Man I was always curious how much work went into this. I always assumed it was a lot and I think I still underestimated it! Great work! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lately for me its been Evan Williams Honey Whiskey. Its almost as good as the Jack Honey but way easier on the wallet. If its not the honey its just regular Jack or Crown Royal. Always in a glass with one ice cube for a about 3 fingers. I would love to get into some of the nicer whiskey's that i have heard about however my wallet does not have the same wishes as I.

Agreed but unfortunately it's been done before mostly on older homes. Now I'm not even sure your allowed to connect a basement floor drain to the sewer by code. I know my old house basement had laundry and a wash tub with no booster pump so the sanitary line at the street must have been very deep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Like most have already said most of the time that drain either goes to the storm sewer or to an outside location. There are some rare time's that the line is hooked up to the sanitary sewer which I am not a fan of as it can cause issues with sewage back-ups but it would not deter me from purchasing a home as issues are rare.

I just got done with fresh salmon topped with soy, teriyaki sauce and whole grain mustard. Accompanied that with saute broccoli. After the kids go to bed it will be spinach and feta cheese stuffed portable mushrooms and crab cakes around 11pm with whatever white wine i pull out of the cooler.

I honestly have no explanation of why I hunt. For me it does not reduce stress because now everything that I need to get done around the house has to get done in a shorter amount of time. I have to plan ever hunt around family functions which there are plenty of during the season. My Uncle got me into hunting and even though we hunted the same land its was not like there was a huge bond formed over it. What I can tell you is I absolutely HAVE to hunt deer no question about it's engraved in my soul for some reason. I hunt for meat and meet only antlers are a bonus to me. I love not buying red meat from the store because I have the ability to put good healthy food on the table that I know exactly what happened to it from the time I made the kill to the time it got cooked up for that nights meal. There are a few simple things that I do enjoy about hunting like the friends I have made. Seeing animals in their habitat acting natural because they have no idea you are out there with them and bringing my daughter along with me has given me a whole nothing meaning to what hunting is.

I don't know if its because it's early or if its because I have a good cold or if its because i'm a bit hungover but oh man this topic was not what I expected after I read Moog's post. I completely forgot about "truck bed" rugs. Phew On topic I think they can be very handy for people than don't haul all sorts or dirt/rocks/wood etc. I hate chasing my cargo all around the bed of the truck. I imagine the bed rug help keeps things in place.
