  1. Like most have already said most of the time that drain either goes to the storm sewer or to an outside location. There are some rare time's that the line is hooked up to the sanitary sewer which I am not a fan of as it can cause issues with sewage back-ups but it would not deter me from purchasing a home as issues are rare.
  2. Apps where fantastic as suspected. However I was was off on the wine. Wife pulled a red out and not a white. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I just got done with fresh salmon topped with soy, teriyaki sauce and whole grain mustard. Accompanied that with saute broccoli. After the kids go to bed it will be spinach and feta cheese stuffed portable mushrooms and crab cakes around 11pm with whatever white wine i pull out of the cooler.
  4. I honestly have no explanation of why I hunt. For me it does not reduce stress because now everything that I need to get done around the house has to get done in a shorter amount of time. I have to plan ever hunt around family functions which there are plenty of during the season. My Uncle got me into hunting and even though we hunted the same land its was not like there was a huge bond formed over it. What I can tell you is I absolutely HAVE to hunt deer no question about it's engraved in my soul for some reason. I hunt for meat and meet only antlers are a bonus to me. I love not buying red meat from the store because I have the ability to put good healthy food on the table that I know exactly what happened to it from the time I made the kill to the time it got cooked up for that nights meal. There are a few simple things that I do enjoy about hunting like the friends I have made. Seeing animals in their habitat acting natural because they have no idea you are out there with them and bringing my daughter along with me has given me a whole nothing meaning to what hunting is.
  5. I don't know if its because it's early or if its because I have a good cold or if its because i'm a bit hungover but oh man this topic was not what I expected after I read Moog's post. I completely forgot about "truck bed" rugs. Phew On topic I think they can be very handy for people than don't haul all sorts or dirt/rocks/wood etc. I hate chasing my cargo all around the bed of the truck. I imagine the bed rug help keeps things in place.
  6. Happy Birthday Turkeyfeathers!!!! I hope you have an extra fancy beer to celebrate

  13. My best memory is the time I took my 6 year old daughter bow hunting. We where hunting with a friend who through text messages let us know a buck was working his way towards us. Her excitement over the chance at seeing a deer was enough to make it a successful hunt for me. Unfortunately the buck must have turned away from us as we never saw it. She is now 0-4 on seeing deer with me but she isn't discouraged from hunting yet.
  14. I wasn't to sure how to answer this question because I don't think taking deer is everything but Culvercreek sums it up pretty good. I don't consider myself a great hunter. I don't play the wind, I don't go crazy over sent control, I don't use calls unless its to get a deer to stop for a shot. What I do successfully is I have a good stand location and I am good shot with deer in front of me.
  15. However you want to say it be it Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays does it really matter? All that matters is people being respectful towards other people. So Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to my fellow hunters and outdoors enthusiasts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Dang guys way to get it done just as the fat lady was about to sing! I'm very tempted to get a muzzle stuffer and hunt late season next year. I may just have to force myself to work some OT or some side jobs to pull that off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Congrats New York Hillbilly!!!!!!!!
  18. I can hear the fat lady warming up now. It's getting close guys and gals good luck out there!
  19. Great pictures! Whats your camera setup? I have a nice Cannon DSLR that beyond the basic settings have no idea how to properly use.
  20. Data caps!? dang that would suck. My internet is through time warner and they don't have data caps. I did have to upgrade to a higher speed internet to stream everything which cost me an extra $20 a month for internet but considering I was dropping $120+ a month for DirecTV I was ok with that.
  21. This time of year after deer season is my time to be home sleep in and be with the family. I golf most weekend mornings from late April until October 1st when I switch over to hunting. I have a lot of things that I want to do around the house but none of them are anything that are time sensitive so if i get them done great and if not oh well i'll get to it eventually.
  22. I got sick of paying a total of $170 a month for cable and internet so I ditched cable bought a amazon fire stick with netflix and Hulu. I still watch everything I watched before ditching cable but for $100 less a month. You mostly have to wait to watch a show the day after it airs but considering we never watched live tv anyways its no big deal. The only thing I miss from cable is I cant watch the Sabres games.
  23. I lost 2 arrows while practicing in the yard. First shot went low and left the second shot went high. I knew exactly where both arrows should have been but I could not find them after searching for almost 30 min. I packed everything up after that and calling it a day after only shooting a total of 3 arrows. I did not lose anything while hunting except some for some sleep and one hornaday sst.
  24. I give you guys that have been out the last 2 days a lot of credit. Even if I wasn't at work I don't think I would go out in this cold. Hopefully your persistence/stubbornness/stupidity pays off!
  25. Thank you for posting your stories on here and thank you for the service you provide hunters. Without your help 12 deer and 1 bear would have been lost and never recovered. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
