  1. well just re-built old harrow spring plow put together the atv implement lift i got a while back did some frost seeding of clover a couple weeks ago and took a few more trees down.... now its about time to start clearing and expand the plots....the deer hit the tops of the trees i dropped hard during march and april...

  7. not the best but my favorite an old 30-30 win that was handed down and killed more then a few deer
  8. Ok well the Bill of Rights was written long before we had firearms like we have today it like everything has to change with the times not saying thats good or bad but when it was written it was single shot black powder, every one has there own idea of the best defense gun and did i say 12ga nope and as LEO ive seen what both guns can do and you are right a 223 ar round is great a shot gun just leaves some room for poor aim , I agree the safe act was knee jerk reaction. As far as pistol permits they are issued by the counties and it is unfair that it differs so much but at the same time just to many unstable people and criminals not to have some checks.
  9. no i just posted something on this in another post, No regulation lots of whack jobs out there.. not to say they wouldnt get the guns illegally but at least if they do get stopped or caught they can be arrested... u want every gang member to legally carry a gun violent felons... I know people would say that issue would take care of its self quickley... but what about the unintended victims... As LEO for over 20yrs ive changed my views on gun laws several times is there a need for restrictions yes. Should certain ones have harsher penalties yes do we need more i dont think so.
  10. My question is what gun laws specifically are you talking about, i feel some are good and some are not so good but at the same time , i dont feel you should be able to go in a gun store and just buy basically whatever u want like some southern states. There are some people for various reasons that . should not have guns. I dont feel there is any need for new laws but possibly harsher punishment for the laws on the books. At the same time there is always that one guy who is not a felon or has a history of mental issues who owns guns and is very lets say sketchy. I also think that there are laws that where just a knee jerk reaction, I always do enjoy the guy that says he needs a gun with a 20round mag and has gun behind every door for "home protection"... Really the best gun for that is your normal shot gun loaded with a bird load not sure but your average shot in a house is close very close...Kinda of a rant...no i wouldnt move just my thoughts....
  11. i got 90 no fields mostley wood and brush and 4 food plots, what i have seen via trail cam i have 6 to 10 does that r always very close or on my land and a good number more that are on it say 50% of the time i see the same bucks say 6 on a regular basis and numerous others that are on camera a handful of times. theres ag across the street and i have numerous wild apples .Im finding in the 2 years ive had this property if you do improvements like food plots tree cutting and make bedding and stay out of those bedding areas . more deer will spend alot more time on your property, but with that said 90 is not big enough to keep them there 100% The first year the apples were poor and no plots and no cutting I only saw like three deer in october. then saw more when the rut kicked in. this past season i saw deer nearly every sit mind you many were deer i saw before.
  12. well just got the lift attachmet and chisel plow not assembled yet but appears heavy duty.. let u guys know how it does

  15. gotcha if you do buy it just a word of advise from a mistake i made make sure there is no moisture i had a few bags turn rock solid when they got just a little damp, real pain to use it....
  16. its to early unless u find a place that has leftover.... im not sure and no expert but i think u should not fertilze until your almost ready to plant and after the plants are a few inches u can lime now if u can find it
  17. i got to get back to camp and do the same maybe a day trip wednesday with these warm temps if its not raining i imagine the deer have gone threw the trees i dropped a lil over a month ago
  18. i sent you a msg i may be selling mine its not a king kutter but same thing its red
  19. the plots arnt steep but getting to the top of the hill where one of my my plot is the issue so steep the wheeler spins a lil bit going up also i got to cross a small stream and the banks would be a lil hard with tractor
  20. i would rather use tractor but my steep hills would have me worried about it rolling over.....
