  8. nice deer dont know why but on my property i never get decent bucks on camera till october at least thats how its played out last 2yrs and so far this year
  9. No i dont think so last time i sprayed was july1st, and the barasicas where over a foot high developing turnips when they started to die off and when i sprayed i used clysophate and that becomes non active once it hits the ground and again over 2months ago
  10. So on Sept. 2nd I checked my plots every thing looked good today i checked them 9/14 and two of my barassica plots are all but dead wilted brown to the point the leaves on some are like dust, It actually looks like they got sprayed by weed killer,, i know that did not happen,, any ideas what could have happen they are to far gone to bring back... from lush and green to dead in 12 days...
  11. It sounded a little shady the way it went about. I would buy the brother a case of beer and offer him some venison sounds like he's the guy that makes the rules....
  12. land 1

    All set

Im ready food plots looked good last check moved some stands, a few camp things to do like mow the yard one more time but hunting prep is done....
  13. it still is amazing to me how they dont touch certain stuff in one area and destroy it in other areas
  14. That sucks sounds like she had that planned even before she had the land, if she new you had plots and had been there so many years she would have reached out to you first if not preplanned we have all been there. happen to me several times . I think this has happened in some way to everyone thats why when i found property i could afford i bought it.. Good luck
  15. This is one of the reasons I bought my own piece of land , When i was younger It was alot easier to knock on the door and ask and get permission, then I lost my main piece of hunting ground as some was sold or took over by other family members of the owner. Then I tried the lease thing but got tired of getting out bid ...and changing hunting land year to year
  16. good choice i have a 2016 one tip if u are going to do a lot of towing of stuff replace the cheap 11/4in towing receiver my lasted a year before it split ....
  17. oh great 2 to 3in of more rain today.....
  18. i was going to ask that too. im right handed, but left eye dominate have you ever checked if u have same issue
  19. Are you asking if there is any state land that large...Northern NY for sure the Dak's is huge... And there are plenty in the south you can go in a mile and either be in the center of it or next to private land
  20. I dont think this is a real issue on deer numbers unless your the guy who hunts right next to the farm then it may be an issue. As far as making landowners let people hunt there land thats BS they pay the taxes etc. not the state. And from what i was told by dec that the more doe permits that get filled the more they will issue for that area . Example if say 50% of permits get filled and they were predicting 25%, they see that as the area is overpopulated to many deer in that area and will increase the amount issued next year until they reach the %number. So by filling out tags and reporting kills that didnt happen you are actually increasing the number of permits next year...This is just what i was told unknown if its fact and deals with DMP not Nusiance permits
  21. Chef i planted july 20th barrasica mix on sept 2nd I had turnips the size of tennis balls but the tubers they were just starting to form. Im no expert but ive found the fertilizer really helps with discolored plants and they seem to have a growth spurt after,
  22. shot on with a gun that had a hole arrow in it from 3weeks earlier, i knew who shot it, it was shot with the arrow high shoulder , when i butchered it the area between shoulder and chest cavity on one side was all green puss etc. didnt stink except right in the infeccted area cut that away the rest ate fine
