  1. I also use bacon ends and peices ground into my burgers. Only way I will do it now. I use that same ratio. The ones I get come in 3lb packs so put 12 pounds of ground with it and it's perfect. I usually throw in an onion soup mix and a few dashes of worchishire .
  2. That's awesome. Not many gals want a hunting she shed. Looks great.
  3. Get better and hope it just stays mild and your back with the family soon and enjoying Christmas.
  4. Love me some riggies. Side of Utica greens to go with it.
  5. Hunt #41 12/12 A gracious offer from Lomax to come out and hunt in the buckform for the afternoon. Went out and it took us less than 12 steps I believe to see the first deer. Lol. Sitting there for a little bit and saw more deer than all of gun season x3. A few deer came out a ways away, a couple ran right by us quick . Then just before dark a small buck came out and then a bunch of does. Picked a good size one in the group and sent it. Deer go running , even towards us. Didn't see one hurt or go down and was thinking OMG I missed. Can't be ...we go out to look for blood and there she is piled up, fell in her tracks . Lol. Guess I got her. Amazing place to hunt and a good time whether we saw deer or not. Good to meet another fellow forum member. Hell we were BSing so much almost missed seeing some of the deer. Lol. Fun day.
  6. Can't thank you enough @Lomaxfor the invite! Glad to get a doe but was great to meet you and BS in the buckform. Awesome spot you have set up and a good time for sure. And glad we figured out I hit it! Lol.
  7. Def lots of sales but with all those sales lots are empty and production was stalled cause of covid shutdowns . Deals we're good early that's why I bought one. Lol. You did too right? I'm thinking your one of the new truck guys this year .
  8. Yes definitely this. Plus people being laid off etc looked more to used than new. Less new cars on lots as well so low mileage used get snatched up quick.
  9. Cheesy grits with eggs over and bionic potato topper, venison jalapeno sausage.
  10. I wished I had more pics of after that, but nothing. I thought it was a raccoon as I have several pics of them there but it seems too dark. But there are a few cats around as well and fishers. I even looked there after to see if any fur but nothing
  11. I've got Tues - Thurs off for some muzzleloader. Local news here is on the fence about any snow storm. If we get too much I will have to go into work. But am planning on hunting those days otherwise for a shot at a buck. And will hunt hard before the storm as that has worked before for me a couple of times. Will be out Saturday though for my last day of regular gun season and looking forward to it!!!
  12. Were you able to get any days this year for a decent snow track? I know you like to get on a good track and last year's story was awesome. Me and a buddy were talking about how years ago there were times we couldn't even hunt because there was three + feet of snow to get thru up north. This year we never saw more than an inch of snow. Did it make for a tougher season up north?
  13. the big boys went into the basement for quarantine like Biden too! Lol good luck, knock em down!
  14. meant to throw this out there a while back. Whats the little critter?? about to get eaten....
  15. Sounds like a great time whether you see a deer or not. I miss the old hunting camp days. It's great to get away and turn the world off for a while. Enjoy!
  16. Nice yote! I used to have one of those .450 Bushmaster. Accurate and nice gun to carry , real light and short. Only got rid of it cause I figured I didn't need 6 deer guns for a three week season. Lol.
  17. Sorry to hear this. But you can always be thankful that you got to spend their entire life with you. Sorry for your loss.
  18. Lol. I would too. That's def being the winner. Esp with the ones you knocked down Don.
  19. Lol. Common sense. With the superior deer herd out in WNY we have to step up our game to overcome it with exceptional hunting skill. Team 4 has a respectable rounded up 7.1 and well team 1.... a feisty 2.6.
  20. Yup. And if you divide by amount of points by hunters. Team weak is the strongest of course with a 7.2 points per team member. Therefore the superior hunters.
  21. Hate seeing this thread die out...... long way til spring fishing! Glad some are still out though!
  22. it would def depend. With your spot and deer you have there, I would pass as long as the freezer is full.
