I'm hearing from a couple of pistol instructor that they think a good bulk of the people that they are counting as not recertifying are just not from having updated county records. That there are many counties that have a lot of deceased and people that moved out of state on their lists. Of course there are a few that refuse, a few that don't know and a few that don't care but they are saying they bet half of those are just from bad record keeping.

The reason I have gotten out of football over the last 5 years is because I will not blindly root for those 4.3 fast felons just because they wear a team Jersey. I would much rather root for a team of decent people than root for a wife beater to run fast. I just couldn't do it anymore. Root for a team that kneels for the anthem and has 3 of their stars as known felons. Would it endear people more to the NFL if they didn't allow them to play? There are still plenty of good athletes available.

There was a sign company in syr saying they would have gladly done it for under 500k but they never saw an open bid.....I'm sure they did their typical 3 bid state system and handpicked it for some one in the click. More Misuses of your tax dollars.

And you think that a 12 year old will no longer do that because there is a law? All yet another law will do is restrict people that dont need another law. The gun laws and general laws already on place cover any issue needed that is practical. There is no need to make a law just to make a law.

My former BIL did competition shooting for like 10 years and had no idea til 2 weeks ago when I asked him if he did it. He never got a letter and i dont recall getting one either. My assistant at work is a pistol instructer and he told me about it.

i agree its of course about the money but it would seem they would make more money and viewers on a Sat. at least for the superbowl. The NFL draft starts on a thursday and still draws in such a number. BUT i gotta say - I bet the NFL hires a lot of guys in marketing that know a lot more about it than me! lol Havent gotten any calls for my input as a consultant for the NFL. .....yet

have seen a lot of numbers that about 33% or more of people havent recertified. And the news etc has published this all over. But I heard a good point last night. Your local county townships prob havent omitted people who have passed away or moved and since over a million people have moved out of NY in the last 5 years - thats prob where those numbers came from. The dead wont be recertifiying anytime soon, and the people that moved are glad to be gone from NY restrictions.

lol - its taken how many years just to get a 2 week season for xbow. The airbow........we will all be dead by then or argueing about whether lasers are guns or not. I agree cheers !

but for the superbowl? yeah ratings are lower for Greys anatomy or something but the superbowl ? no way .

oh and since i have a couple of votes for commissioner I also wouldnt allow anyone that was convicted of a felony to play and anyone with a pending one would be suspended until the outcome. I know where i work in real life - if I was convicted of a felony i would be out the door.
