I really like the format of" major league fishing". It's a tournament show. They don't tell the anglers where they are fishing and pick them up at like 5 am. Then they go to a lake and have a judge with them that weighs each fish and they release it right then. If they drop a fish in the boat they get a "fish landing violation " and can't do anything for 2 minutes. Me and my fishing buddy always bust each other now when we drop one. But it's a neat show. Sometimes they have a certain weight and the first 3 to get to it move on. And while they are fishing they will get "score tracker updates" when other anglers catch a fish. Really puts some pressure on them. I can't stand bill dances show anymore cause he fishes what looks to be the same stocked pond behind his house for every show. Lol Also like the edge with Al linder , it's a good informative show for different species.

Yeah I'm in the traditional rifle camp too. AR just seems a lot of window dressing. .243 gets it done too. Cheaper, no worries on legality and can be used for anything without any questions.

Ok thanks. They did look great. I like to make my own. I usually make breakfast sausage, maple sausage, bacon burgers, jalapeño brats and now snack sticks.

Do you have a recipe for those ? Or do you have them made? I like to try one new thing every year with a deer. Last year was snack sticks from a recipe off this site and it was awesome. If you have a recipe would sure appreciate. Thanks

Headed home soon. Got up at 3:50am and into work by 5 am got closed up and posted on tv, some paperwork done to boot, head home for some breakfast and wait to blow out driveway in a bit.

be safe out there lots of idiots. I used to work snow and ice crew for DOT - and yeah the overtime in the winter was nice for sure. But some tough days out on the road too. good luck

My uncle on the way to camp on Chase lake years ago got on his CB - that he had in his VW campertop - heard on CB a guy that caught a bunch of Rainbows and was looking for someone to take them. So on the way up he got 4 big rainbows to bring to camp and we put them on the grill- awesome.

i can generally always outfish someone using bait except when it comes to perch or bullheads. In school took out one of my buddies trout fishing and caught 5 before he had a hit. Gave him a lure and he got a 19" brown - he was hooked for life. Plus dont have to worry about keeping it alive etc. Can cover more water with different techniques and get the most aggressive fish to hit. Bait certainly has its place, i use dixxie spinner and a worm all the time on Oneida. But the right lure in the right spot is the deal

had one below my treestand one time and it had no idea i was there. I broke of a little twig and was dropping pieces of it in the leaves and the cat would jump at it. entertained me for a bit. Then i made a noise and its eyes got like as big as a cartoon cat and man it took off.

the one that grinds me is when someone says .........well I already called and spoke to someone......and I ask who that was- (cause i am at work about 10 hours a day and all calls come thru my phone) and they say oh I cant remember or well it was someone else that called - dont lie - just say you didnt call

At the time, Big Ben, Santonio Holmes and Harrison ..... basically the three biggest names on the team. And don't play the race card......has zero to do with it. And as I posted before.....I don't root for pipe fitters either or buy their jerseys or spend my Sunday watching them on tv. And your right everyone deserves a second chance but that doesn't mean it has to come from me. They can def have a second chance and make a living but that doesn't mean I have to idolize them anymore. The league just turned me off to a more casual fan.. not everyone has to be a die-hard football fan. I just asked myself why I was cheering and saying how awesome this player was because he had a Steeler Jersey and because they could cross a white line. Could've been for any team or sport, not rooting for Vick, or Ray Rice etc....if they wore a Steeler Jersey either. It all just turned me off. My favorite all time Steeler is Hines Ward. The ravens would knock the snot out of him and he would get up and smile. Had the same hard time rooting for A-Rod with the Yankees. Guess after a while my thoughts about sports changed and blind passion for a team didn't sit well with me anymore.

Hard to go wrong with flukes too . And as grampy said a Texas rigged craw or a swimbait... Easiest to learn to use is the spinner bait.......chunk and wind. White and chartreuse.

If youre fishing for gamefish, like bass or pike , will catch more fish on lures than live bait hands down. Personal best day with senkos....84 bass. Not a fish story. Lol.

love what the kid did on the cover......but ....im a lure junky and was looking at them too. I have all of those from storms, to rapalas to reef runners! lol That looks exactly like the boxes I have.

yes I had a fishing buddy that bought the banjo minnow system and I made fun of him all day on the water! lol He actually had a lot of hits on it from bass but couldnt hardly ever hook them. It required rubber bands and it was too funny. He used to like to buy weird lures and bring them out fishing .
