When my Dad couldn't really hunt anymore he stayed at camp and made dinner. My brother and I hiked about 10 miles in the dacks hunting. We got back to camp and he made venison stew with wild mushrooms he picked earlier in the fall all on the wood stove. It was the best meal I've ever had. Def tounge in cheek and reference to Pelosi actions in a past Trump state of the union. And although I am not a big Trump guy he actually did a couple of excellent state of the union speeches. And it would never happen. But I am tired of watching the Republicans sit on their hands and asses. At some point they need to rage against the dying of the light and start getting more aggressive. I am truly hoping it is planned for midterms this year to start having more of a backbone and start showing more fight in the dog and exposing some of these Dems and making them accountable. Including and not limiting to criminal prosecution for some. But I do believe they are trying to show a more professional standing than Trump did and help themselves in November this year, and win back a majority in the house and/or senate. Half of me wants the US to just go in and end this crap before it gets worse, especially with most of the world on the side of the Ukrainians. The other half fears a desperate Putin with his hands on too many buttons. I am impressed by the reaction and unification across most of the world and all the aid being sent. I also thought that this might look like an opening for China to invade Tawain but now it is starting to look like the opposite some. Where the world is banding against Russian and possible unrest in its own country with the Ruble crashing. That convoy line headed to the capital in Ukraine would be sitting ducks for us. Oneida county is the same way. Mine is restricted to hunting, fishing, hiking and target. They will not issue any unrestricted and they tell you at the office to not even bother to try. Good luck. I was def glad I did it. Took about 6 months here. Took me a few pistols to be happy with one. But found the one I am very happy with now. Although I very rarely carry it, I'm still glad I got it. Yes he prob would have won without Covid. But since then we've had Jan 6. And no matter where you stand on that it's further soured more people on him. But any other candidate would have won hands down over Biden. He's put himself into his own predicament and it's hurting us all. Although I disagree on the election being rigged that he lost (although I can believe some is always possible) . I also do not have a problem with Trump defending himself the press. My issue with him is he isn't self aware enough to know he's hurting himself and the country with the unneeded comments he makes. I love so much of what he did, it's a shame to watch him shoot himself in the foot and reload and do it over and over again to feed his own ego. To me he has made himself a poison for the next election in that he is too big a risk for the party and the country to lose again. Beside the fact better are waiting in the wings. Question.....do you think it's better for the country for Trump to win the nomination or let's say a Desantis? So even though I get you love Trump, you have to be concerned he has a much better chance of losing the election as the Republican candidate than just about any other. He is so disliked by so many in both parties. Desantis wins by a landslide in my opinion as he gets the Trump votes and much of the hate Trump vote and that Biden is so terrible that any candidate other than Trump is bound to win. If we lose this next election so much more will be lost. We can't take another loss, the country can't! And if you can admit any fault to Trump it has to be his ego to not see this as well and step aside for the country. And I'm not gonna argue that it's a rigged election.....both sides were ready to claim that in a loss. And IF it was it's because it was so close. It won't be with just about any other candidate. GF got me a kit for making snack sticks so I used that and added in sweet baby Ray's sweet and spicy BBQ sauce instead of any water. I think part of the change in expectation was also that Russia came in from 4 different fronts and with more force immediately than thought. If their coverage was to last 48 hours then they were doomed from the start. Its too bad these folks just didn't stand a great chance from the start. We certainly could've gave them more hardware but dunno if the end result would be the same. I think they are most like countries and some people will be steadfast til the end and others won't. Either way lots of people will suffer at the hand of yet another tyrant in the world Worked with a few Ukrainian folks at the casino years ago. And one young guy lived to fish.
