  1. If she was to run who would stop her? No one in party large enough to stop her other than Obama and he would give her a ringing endorsement. Only thing to stop her is her.
  2. Like all technology the price will eventually drop. VCRs were $700 too when they came out. Def a nice gadget. In ten years they might be standard on most bows.
  3. Take a poll of the general public and ask them if they know who Oprah is or who Mike Pence is. Tells you all you need to know . Hillary didn't lose by much remember and how much more popular is Oprah...... And how much better of a speaker, and not under investigation for anyhting, and how fed up people are with both parties, then the backing of Obama and everyone in the press......she would have a great chance of winning, esp if Trump doesn't run again. I think it wpuld just be up to her to decide if she wanted to take on the stress and the responsibility. I can argue for her and I am not even a fan but I think she would be the Dems best chance.
  4. Welcome in and good luck on the buck. He's a beauty
  5. Thought this fall I was about to be attacked by a bald eagle. I was sitting on an island in the dacks and a heavy fog came in. I was sitting in a foldout chair and waiting for the fog to lift and couldn't see 20 yards. I was checking to are if I had any cell service and above me I hear ....whoosh.....whoosh and out of the fog is a bald eagle coming right at me . It was about 7 feet from me and was trying to stop mid air. Couldn't believe it was so huge and I was just amazed. Then it went up and was gone and I thought did it see movement in the fog and swoop down? Amazing encounter. My two buddies were like 20 yards to the other side of me and they were asking what was that noise, they never saw it.
  6. I barely carry in NY cause of all the restrictions. I would be afraid to carry out of state and be wrong anywhere. I went and got my permit but almost don't find it worth it. I have just the one pistol for that reason. When I do take it I'm more worried about doing everything right than having the satisfaction of having it with me most of the time.
  7. If the bandwagon gets rolling they will be afraid to stop it they may not have the choice or influence these days. Who in the dem party these days has the voice to stop in - Obama ? he would be her stongest backer. And Oprahs popularity before running is far larger than trumps for sure to start with.
  8. the owl might have had the meal and the eagle took it away .
  9. #1 - to refill the freezer with venison #2- take a decent buck , doesn't have to be huge. Didn't fill buck tag this year, passed on one too many. #3- get back on the turkey train . Didn't get one last year for the first time in a long time. I had to cancel a lot of may hunting due to lack of staff. #4 - fill a tag in muzzleloader season. Never gotten a deer with the smoke pole. And won't use it in regular season just to tag with it, would like to get one in muzzle with the muzzleloader. Lastly to have as much enjoyment out of hunting as I do every year no matter how much game I actually get in freezer.
  10. Gotta go flamethrower. Brush wouldn't stand a chance
  11. ditto here - just change mine to the 11-87 semi remington
  12. I once accidentally left my tv on the station the view comes on when I left for work. ( Was watching the news) And I had to apologize to my dog. Poor boy . Had to give him an extra treat to try to make up for seeing that show.
  13. It's amazing that the field is changing so much. There is more talk about Oprah, Tom hanks and the Rock for President than politicians. Sign of the times. Although I do like that the Rock said "My truck would look good parked at the white house". Lol
  14. that is just damn impressive and probably a lifetime of great stories! About the only thing missing is Bigfoot , yeti and the jackalope! Def envy someone that would have these kinds of oppurtunities. Best of luck on completing that , dont stop now youve done so much!
  15. im just hoping hunting becomes one of her favorite things! Did you ever think we would see a presidential race of Trump vs Oprah in your lifetime? - wow. Cant wait to see this S*&^show!
  16. okay couldnt barely get that out without laughing at myself! ........who bought a bumper sticker and put a sign in their yard already??
  17. most everything in NY, but not nearly enough out of state critters. Hopefully one day a moose or elk. And i bet you all forgot one listed above --- frogs! and of course.... "I have hunted the 4 legged deer but the two legged are a lot more fun, gonna go huntin tonite but i aint takin no gun" - Hank Jr.
  18. were you eating a corn muffin for breakfast? lol
  19. since we dont see many around here I think they should shorten season or designate them as songbirds and not have a season. lol. ............Cmon thats a little funny!
  20. Have a buddy I hunt with, I swear he leaves the car and is lost. When we have hunted the big woods I tell him to sit in a spot and I will be back for him. Lol I've seen him lost in spots no one should be lost. One time i saw him do a complete circle around me. Kept seeing hin every few minutes in a different direction. He even told me how he came out in someones back yard and they yelled at him. His wife bought him a GPS because of this and he was out hunting and it fell out of his pocket and he lost it. Then he was lost for 45 minutes. I think I'm going to get him a tether and a post for his birthday. Lol
  21. "never been lost, fearsome confused for a month or two but I aint never been lost" - Henry Frapp I once went trout fishing up in Florence area and was out longer and farther than I thought. By the time I headed back it got dark, I didnt really get lost but it was so dark I waded the creek back (tiny little brookie stream not anywhere deeper than crotch high) . I had to make the decision to stay the night or try to wade the creek because it was so dark you couldnt see more than a foot ahead of you. I went by the feel of the stream and when I got close enough to road I heard a car or two go by. By the time i got out to truck it was almost midnight. My brother got lost one time in McKeever . Huntign with my Dad he didnt come in for lunch with 3 other guys they were hunting with so my Dad went looking for him. He heard him fire 2-1 a long ways away. Kept doing that and eventually my Dad found him. And they were looking at each other across a creek. My Dad asks on the other side "where did you cross the stream?" My Brother says " I didnt, I never crossed the creek" lol. Well he did then and they went back and my Dad handed him the compass out of his pocket. Course this was all before GPS and cell phones .
  22. Have heard that there is some success on Oneida. Guy told me his brother got a 6lb walleye last weekend and that he caught 20 walleye but of course can only keep three. I asked him about perch and he said he didnt know, but by the amount of people i see out there they must be doing some good.
  23. They are probably talking about us right now on the birdwatchers forums. Lol Yeah I suppose there is always someone for and someone against most anything.
