  1. I forgot some of them, but at my age it might be my Alzeimers kicking in. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Congrats. Way to get it done on the first day, I presume. Any plans to hunt other critters while you are out there, or headed straight back home? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Best wishes for your brother and your family. You are all in my prayers. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

And so it begins...best of luck. Nice place. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  5. I am also in Suffolk and hunt only public lane. I can be a resource similar to Squirrel...for whatever that is worth. I am no expert, but may have learned a thing or 2 over the years mostly from my mistakes. I understand wanting to do it on your own though. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  6. Most hunters just gut the deer and take the rest of the carcass home or to a processor. You are already getting feedback from your other posts about aging meat, which hopefully is helpful. Two schools of thought on aging. You will figure out which works for you. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  7. Tough break GreeneHunter. Hope you can get it re-strung quickly. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  8. That's a bummer Grampy. Make the best of it anyway. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  9. Sounds like something I might do.... Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  10. No. You leave the gut pile. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  11. The buck that I arrowed was chasing a doe, but not rutting by any means. There was no staining on the hocks. Saw 1 small sapling rub. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  12. Take the plunge. You will not regret it. You get to hunt earlier than the gun hunters and for more days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Brings back some memories of duck hunts in FL. Good times. Just last month I was out fishing near Merritt Is. and had a couple flocks of teal, 30-40 birds, fly by. I understand that that's rare these days, compared to 20 yrs ago. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  14. Awesome service that you and your dogs do. Enjoy following this thread and learning. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  15. I have not tried flipping quiver, but have not found that the quiver affects the accuracy of the bow at the distances that I practice at ( Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  16. Congrats Greensider! Nice deer. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Good luck! Post up some pics of the country you will be hunting and the adventure as it unfolds. That would be a hunt I'd really like to try, so i am interested in following your adventure. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  19. Congrats. So happy for you, most importantly, that the surgery went well, and also that your hunting wish was fulfilled. Best wishes. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

  21. Thanks for all the likes on the little buck I got earlier. Posted a short write up in the harvest thread. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  22. Went out for my first sit at around 1 pm. Didn't see anything but squirrels until just before 6 when a doe and fawn came in to my left. I was planning to take the doe since the fawn seemed to be big enough to make it on it own. I normally pass does with fawns in October. A minute or 2 later I heard deer running and saw a doe come in to my right. She was acting weird like she may have seen me move or something. Then I saw the buck. The buck followed the script and gave me a broadside opportunity about 18 yards. The arrow hit a bit high, but within a few seconds of the buck running off I heard it crash. There was good blood at the point of impact and first few yards, but either poor blood or I suck at blood trailing thereafter. Decided to just go to where I heard the deer crash and after a few minutes I found it. Great start to the season. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  23. Small 8 down. Will post story later. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  24. I am in 1c for the 1st sit this year. So far only seen squirrels. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
