  3. Mild night but the wind came up quite strong at 4 am., so I decided to get out of the stand. No coyotes but did see a lot of deer roaming in the moonlight. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
  4. The sunset time have been increasing for a few days now. Of coarse, those of us still hunting know this. Sometimes that extra minute or two can make a difference during the muzzleloader season.
  5. Breeding is resurfacing once again here. Bucks on the move. Antlerless muzzleloader season only. Nocturnal doe, which is normal for this time of year. Only option is to shoot buck fawns, which we refuse to do. Now how is this antlerless only plan working out for you, New York DEC.?

  7. It looks good! Not what one would expect for a Chinese product. A little curious why lock washers and Loctite were added to the hardware.
  8. Haven't seen one doe since start of muzzleloader season. All bucks. Maybe that's a "good thing."
  9. It depends greatly on the persons personal experience viewing cam pics verses real rack size values. It would be fun to spin off this thread with people posting cam pics of deer they have harvested, had officially measured; to answer your original question.
  10. Had the best sit of the season yesterday afternoon; all I could do is watch. Dam you DEC..

  13. Might not be the best for deer hunting, but I'm sure soaking up this balmy weather. I bumped 5 deer out of the radish at ten to seven. I think they heard the frying pan bumping the stove.
  14. I do hope your friend has a better outcome to the next deer harvest they have. Hunters lose deer; true sportsman learn and apply to the next situation that may arise.
  15. You just got to like this. only @ huntingny.com folks!
  16. I rather enjoy hunting in these temps. Been plenty a winter out in 0 degree weather with a foot of snow on the ground. The cooler has room for two more, right now. Running a balmy 29 degrees at the moment.
  17. Ten came out yesterday at 4:53; sunsets at 4:39.Couple really big nocturnal doe too. Some really impressive buck fawns. Those radish are sure doing the job now. Their hammering them hard. Some great late season hunting.
