    I've shot deer in blue jeans. Is camo needed, to me the answer is no. The proper paperwork in all seasons, along with orange in firearm season for safety, that's needed. The deer don't give a hoot what your wearing, as long as it doesn't smell human.

    Yeah, the gun and the license cost the most. I remember starting out with a Military coat and pant set for $25, a 16 gauge something or other I had, and Remington Slugger shells for $2.75 a box. I thought the carbon liner was a good idea to keep human scent down.

    Get downwind from a downed deer after it's left overnight . If it's anywhere in the area, you'll smell it. By the way, the last 6 deer we harvested had no blood trail; except under the body.

    I walk through cow manure with my boots on, then I don't worry about human scent at all.

    I stalk while bow hunting when the wind is blowing pretty good. Capitalize on what some hunters think is a bad hunting day. Get a way with a lot more movement during wind events. Have caught deer plenty of times, off guard. Have to be quick with the aim and shot placement. I practice plenty, for this.
