I do like the solar charging and can see need if it trying to send phone signal drawing power, but my new cam last 6.months on a set of batteries. Though solar would be nice option for all cameras

Seen them by central terminal -
Yes mange is nasty ,I bet that bear dies I've seen several bad like that. The deer may have it as well but u dont think it's near as common . Usually if over 1/4 of animal has loss it usually wont recover from what I've read.

Friend and his daughter in golf cart, she was so excited she saw a deer.

Plant hazelnut and chestnut instead, much faster returns

I worry.about number of photos sent , 25 cam I have out and some are.getting 1500 to 2000 photos per.camera. most are 3 to 500 a week. X 25 almost 25000 pics sent to a phone? I scroll through and keep a few but I feel it would take up way to much of my.time with phone going off all the time.

Tin plates spinning on string

If your really set on getting a good plot in , buy a bale of straw and cover seed with that in your bare spots. Or.you will just bee feeding the birds
-
A lot they will pick a field clean if just broadcast. Main reason I like to use a cover crop. Broadcast then spray by time cover crop dies new seed is up and germinated.

The deer just started hammering my clover plots this week. Mowed 3 weeks ago. They will hit it until better deer candy comes along , like pear, apple, some early nuts, then they will hit it again after high carb food are dwindling and paw through snow to get it until snow depth stops them.
-
Send it in with receipt they fix or replace quick sent 5 in that were draining batteries or not keeping date/time . 2 weeks later I got 4 brand new cams for free and a good deal on buying a replacement for the one that was out of warrenty

hunting land rental question, plymouth ny 7M
G-Man replied to maplehillfrm's topic in Land For Sale, Lease, and Requests
5 to 10 an acre for a lease would be reasonable. Not sure about day or weekend, I cant say I've ever seen a post for that locally by me -
Let the clover seed itself ,the flowers will turn brown, then mow, your cutting them before they make seed, really helps thicken plot up at no expense, 2x a year is all you need if the rest of your weeds are under control. I like my last mow end of august to make new growth available for beginning of season.

Small Kill Plot Advice
G-Man replied to UpStateRedNeck's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Hope it lasts for you, plot that small can be wiped out in few days . Perhaps think of a plot saver tape for a month or so to get you to season. Better safe than sorry ,I've seen it happen here -
They are done growing or no way they would be fighting like that. Velvet still on as antlers mineralizing
-
The velvet is still on. And it bleeds, the antler is very porous now but getting harder every.day. most.bucks are done growing now and antlers are mineralizing. They wouldnt be fighting if it was growing as it's full of nerves , that's why you see bucks in fields all summer.so they dont Bump them , when hardened and nerves dead they move to much thicker areas. A cut or break could deform antler for sure.

I've seen bushels falling already. They are spotty here some loaded others none..
