I've seen bucks still wearing in mid April in the past, not too common though.

I saw one in April, years ago. I asked a DEC biologist about it, he told me that if they still have antlers they are still breeding.

Had this same little buck come through my yard this morning... still packin'!!

Nice 10 pt in the stockyard in buffalo still had his horns..  ton of doe around there.  No hunting of course...

Around here they drop them after the first week of gun season.  I usually don't  see another buck till the following bow season lol
