Culvercreek hunt club
I would love to see nation wide Sportsman and firearms owners going out and shopping for new providers.
nyantler
Here is Reed's recent official statement on postponing the Eastern Sports Show... Man! I couldn't have been more wrong about these guys... a simple "We've changed our position and decided to allow the sale and display of modern sporting rifles at the show." would have been a better response... http://www.easternsportshow.com/
nyantler
"the presence of "modern sporting rifles" would have distracted from the show's focus on hunting and fishing," I'd have to say their position is what caused the distraction... distracted them right out of a show.
Culvercreek hunt club
" It is unfortunate that in the current emotionally charged atmosphere this celebratory event has become overshadowed by a decision that directly affected a small percentage of more than 1,000 exhibits" And they still don't get "it". HectorBuckBuster
One thing that I do like about there statmente is they used the term modern sporting rifles, that just goes to show that they have stated that they do have a sporting purpose. They certainly don't... I think when they say "directly affected" they are talking about those that would not have been able to display or sell those guns... when in reality their decision affected the better portion of their attendees and vendors..the ones that felt their 2nd Amendment Rights being infringed.
phade
The question still remains. Now what? You simply cannot have a void such as this. There's three arms to the hunter's show circuit - SHOT, ATA, and ESOS. Only ESOS is public/consumer. If nobody steps up to the plate, there's a BIG void. Culvercreek hunt club
I bet you see Cabela's put it on. They would be nuts not to take advantage of that void.

biggamefish
Progresive was one of the so called big backers and I guess the owner of progressive is a huge obama backer and anti gun advocate. Our insurance money is backing this guy. We seem to be paying for our own anti gun laws. Crazy when you think about it.

I would love to see some formal confirmation of there anti 2nd stance and if they truely were behind the ESS ban. That would need to be a national compaign to pull any insurance business from them. Flo might even have to find another job.
