fasteddie
I stopped at the Gas Station at the 4 corners in Mendon this afternoon . Had to wait for a bit to get waited on and the clerk apologized for the wait . I wasn't in any hurry and told her no problem . Then the clerk told me the lady ahead of me in line had pumped Diesel Fuel into her car instead of gas . i asked if she was having it towed and the lady had called AAA for that to be done . At least she didn't try to drive it ! Bummer of a mistake !

Skillet
It's not her fault. She just got a 'contact stupid' from me, I was standing next to her.
asav2013
We got a diesel f250 at work and a guy who has worked there for almost 4 years now, he's drivin the truck countless times, he decides to borrow one of the smaller bucket tractors and pulled it home on a trailer , after he was done at home drove up the road to the nice and easy which is literally 120 yards up the road, left it running at the pump, went in and played 100$ in fuel pumped it ,went to pull out truck was smokin like hell and running like crap, he called my boss and told him what was going on so my boss said pull back into your house shut the truck off and I'll be ,right there , come to find out the moron pumped $100 worth of gas into a diesel truck! Had to tow it to the shop , drain the tank, run some kind of fluid through it to flush the system and refill it with diesel, all said and done it was about a 800-1000$ screw up, I highly recommend never doing that lol

Jeremy K
Ive never owned a Diesel but isnt the pump to big to fit inside the filler neck of a gas car just for that reason ?
landtracdeerhunter
Ive never owned a Diesel but isnt the pump to big to fit inside the filler neck of a gas car just for that reason ? Yeh, what did she have, a funnel? Wonder how she got the diesel fuel past the little flipper thing?
landtracdeerhunter
I can see the mistake of pumping gas into a diesel, not the other way around.
Lawdwaz
Ive never owned a Diesel but isnt the pump to big to fit inside the filler neck of a gas car just for that reason ? "Nozzle" I thought so also. Obviously she has circumvented the safety net that manufacturers have striven to install to save stupid people from making stupid mistakes. I think we are going to need pictures.
MACHINIST
Not on all the nozzles now.I have a diesel truck and some stations have the smaller nozzles on them for all the diesel cars running around. The place down the road from me has full service and I caugth the kid pumping gas in my brand new diesel!!! made the owner tow it to my BIL shop and they drained flushed filled and a new filter in it for me at a cost of 400+ to the station owner. ants
A while back a fuel delivery guy had a brain cramp and filled diesel fuel into the unleaded tanks at the local Dept. of public works fueling station. A bunch of police, D.P.W. parks Dept. etc...vehicles were out of commission for a while. I think the guy got canned.
JimR
While waiting for an AC repair at my local garage 3 college age kids, w/ Virginia plates on thier car came in. They explained to the owner that they had accidentily pumped diesel into their gas operated car. The owner questioned them as to if they were sure they had as they had driven the car from the gas station across the street with no problems, they insisted that yes they had put diesel in. While one kid was going thru all this another was on his phone with his Dad back in Va explaining what had happned, did'nt seem like a fun conversation. Thee owner had a mechanic put the car up on a lift and start to see what it would take to pull the tank for flushing. Meanwhile the kids are now doubting themselfs and looking for thier reciept. Owner cots to question kids, mentions different size nozzle ect. Finally kids all troop off back to gas station to see if they could remember which pump they used. As they return they announce that nope it was gas after all ! The car comes down and off they go, it was an intersting side show while waiting for my repair to finish up. I'll bet the Dad back in Va was happy that he did'nt have to extend the credit limit on the kids card.

Adkhunter1590
I just switched to hauling bulk tanks with flour but before I was hauling gas tankers for almost a year. You all would be shocked at how often the wrong thing gets dropped in the wrong tanks. I know soooo many guys thay have even dropped a few hundred gallons of diesel in a unleaded tank and stopped it then switched it to the correct gas compartment. Super and regular get mixed all the time and no one will say a word about that ever unless they are retarded. The gas going in your cars is not nearly as clean as you all think lol. And do yourselves a favor...if you see a tanker unloading at a station and you need gas...keep going! Tons of crap gets stirred up in there when we unload so all that gets sucked into your cars.
