dmandoes
i'm going to say 4 or older. his neck in the first photo starts at the bottom of his chest. I think he probably walks with a limp. his front right knee looks messed up.
beachpeaz
yeah, no tine length so probably 100" or so. Maybe 110 if your lucky. 2.5-3.5 I would guess.
gastrodoc
2.5yr, 100-
Hock3y24
Thanks, would really like to let him go another year, but I doubt I would. Pretty sure it was him grunting last evening about 50 yards into the brush after I hit the doe bleat. Got to dark out though and I snuck out. beachpeaz
yeah, good luck getting a deer past 3.5 in NYS. That is a grandpa around here. I have one on my cameras I have watched for 3 years now that I guess about 6.5. By far the oldest deer I have ever watched (which is pretty sad). What are you shooting for or considering success? 8.5 or 9.5?
Five Seasons
What are you shooting for or considering success? 8.5 or 9.5? Lol seriously. Most 3.5's are mounters. A 6 is not sad...
Culvercreek hunt club
Well on out property we really shoot for a deer that has it's teeth worn to the gum line. If they are just about on the boarder of malnutrition the fat content really drops and is much better for you to eat. You have to put a roast in the crock pot for two weeks to soften it up but there isn't much fat. nyantler
The body on that buck says at least 3.5... the rack may look small because the deer is so big... or he just isn't destine to have a big rack... but that's a big deer.
chiefbkt
I'm going to say 3.5 and 110-120". Nice looking deer for sure.
WesternNY
3.5, not 4.5 if so his rear and chest would be equal and you would have a bit of sag on the back and belly. score around 96 inches
Zag
2 1/2 maybe 100. go get'em
njg0621
Man, you guys are tough with aging these deer on this site I've noticed! I have shot a lot of deer and watch them all year... to me that is a 3 1/2 yr old deer based on body size. That is a large bodied deer! The rack wouldn't score much, maybe 110 but it is still a nice deer. I have to disagree with everyone saying 2 1/2, I would have to say 3 1/2.

beachpeaz
What are you shooting for or considering success? 8.5 or 9.5? I am not waiting to shoot him...lmao! The damn thing dissapears as soon as hunting season comes around. I have TRAIL CAMERA pics of him for the last 3 years. he is a huge 150"+ 12 point (10 point with 2 kickers on his left). I don't shoot young deer that I know have lots of potential, but damn, i would definitely shoot a 3.5 year old mounter!!! Here are the pictures of him from 2011, 2012 and 2013. Disregard the time stamp on the last picture (that says January of 2011). My batteries died and when i changed them, I forgot to reset the date and time. That last picture is September 26, 2013 (couple weeks ago).
