WestchesterBowman
Thought this was kind of strange. These guys just posted this to Facebook. Season doesn't open until May 1 statewide... There was a comment about poaching a bird, but they deleted it. https://www.facebook.com/DownWindOutdoors
pistolp71
Dont jump to conclusions. Did you ever think it could be from spring of 2013??
WestchesterBowman
I'm not. The person that commented actually asked the same question. Just odd they would delete the comment vs. respond to it?
phade
sometimes responding to it opens the floodgates. I highly doubt it was poached and filmed and released. It does happen, but not very often.

WestchesterBowman
Also, I'd add that I'm not saying they did or didn't do anything wrong, I follow them on Facebook and enjoy their work but I bet I'm not the only one wondering when this was shot and why it just got released today. Woodjr55
I doubt they would post a video of them doing something illegal on YouTube with the 6 thousand followers they have but then again who knows
wooly
The vids posted here too in the turkey forum. http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/22420-new-video-un-henned/ It was made perfectly clear it was from spring 2013 so chill out. I would have deleted it too when folks start making assumptions to the contrary...like you have in this post. Yotehntr
Anyone notice how many leaves are on the trees and the field turned over? This was obviously last Spring.

WestchesterBowman
That's what I figured and hoped for! Carry on boys, keep up the great work.
burmjohn
Also if you look on the facebook, the post below the one you referenced says: "Figured it's about time we pull out all that turkey footage from last year."
PREDATE
The reason they're posting up spring turkey hunting vids seems pretty self evident. Nobody's real pumped about spring birds during deer and/or predator season

sits in trees
Hey that bozo Ted Nugent was caught red handed documenting his own poaching practices and airing it on national TV....
Cabin Fever
Kills me how some people are so quick to jump on things and point fingers! God forbid they would post a coyote or deer hunting video now, since season is closed right??
MACHINIST
Look at the leaves on the trees, trees around me haven't even started to bud for the most part. These guys get thrown under the bus quite a bit because they are really good at what they do.The first time I saw one of their videos it was a coyote video they posted on the NYpredatorhunting website and it was in the summer so I immediately thought the same thing. They are a great group of guys and I have meet them in person.I am 99.9999% sure that poaching isn't a game they play

WNYBuckHunter
Hey that bozo Ted Nugent was caught red handed documenting his own poaching practices and airing it on national TV.... You mean when he hunted over bait while on a guided hunt? While he should have known the laws, Id say the guide should carry the majority of the blame for that one. anyhow, back to the turkey vid... Or how he shot an illegal buck according to that states AR laws. Or Could have been when he shot a bear and lost it and went on to shoot another bear later on which was illegal where he was. He has a couple of infractions to choose from. Edited April 23, 2014 by Doewhacker
WNYBuckHunter
LOL, how many of them were on guided hunts? Honestly, if you are paying a guide, he should be making sure you are playing by the rules, its part of the deal. Otherwise, what good is he really? I know when/if I go on a guided hunt, I probably wont be aware of every single little game law, so Ill be trusting that the guide will point out something like I drew blood on a bear, and cant shoot another one.
