still think we are fighting a losing battle?  A month ago they said that the Unsafe act had a 62 percent approval.  Now down to 50 percent.  Keep fighting the good fight and we will win.  ow is the time to push even harder.

The troubling part of that article is the Sienna poll that says 2 out of 3 support the SAFE ACT. The other troubling this is that many residents of the state really don't take the time to get informed of who they are voting for and think just because someone was good enough to win once they should remain in their seat unless large scandals hit the head lines ie "Client #9". Hopefully I am wrong and people take the time to really understand what a crapy job this guy is doing on his "road to the white house" and prove to all politicians that your seat is not guaranteed just by coasting by and buying votes with political hand outs.

The 66 percent was from the last sienna poll of possible voters. This is a poll of actual voters. Combine this with the other issues hr is having and the numbers sway in our favor

in my opinion, the people who are pretty much content with the way things are really don't make much of an impact at an election time, it's those who are fighting for a cause and are very passionate about it that make the difference.......

I just saw that Cuomo picked his running mate....she's from the Buffalo area and he hopes this will help him win over upsate voters.

   I am all for the signs, but I think unless your a gun owner some people don't know what they mean.  I know a few people that are not gun owners & ask "what's up with these safe act signs?". & because we want to repeal something that is suppose to be safe, we are the bad guys. Many have no clue what they are about.  I feel the signs should say something about protecting your/our gun rights or about the 2nd. Amendment. or our bill rights.   Just an observation I've noticed.

Here's the part that is worrisome:

 

Fifty-seven percent of those surveyed would vote for Cuomo today over Astorino - including 20 percent of all Republicans.

 

And 3 out of 4 surveyed say Cuomo has strong leadership qualities, according to the poll, while 3 out of 4 voters statewide don't know enough about Astorino to form an opinion of him.

 

But Cuomo's lead would be cut dramatically if a candidate viewed as more liberal entered the race. Twenty-two percent of voters would support a candidate more liberal than Cuomo, cutting his take to just 37 percent, the poll found.

 

This proves NY voters are too far gone.

The unpleasant reality is that a great paradigm shift is coming in the life of this country, and not for better. Decades of moral decay and social disentegration, with nary a whimper from 'the people' , will end in inevitable decline and collapse. We are 1 generation from the end of empire. It's too late to stop. The character of this country has been twisted beyond redemption or recognition.

So what's your deal Papist? you come on here and rail against every constructive effort that people come up with to fight the problem of government excesses and never ever offer one word of constructive suggestion. You are basically just another sneaky tool of the Cuomo administration to discourage any political activity, working on his behalf either purposefully or simply due to ignorance. The question was asked, "ok so what is your solution? storm the capital?". So what is your answer besides coming here and trying to discourage all the folks that have honest and sincere solutions, efforts and activities in progress?

She was the congressional representative of the 27th district of N.Y. Cathy Hulkul, democrat. She lost to Chris Collins. Funny how these unemployed socialists always find themselves back in the political arena.

The senate and assembly "leaders", who are Skelos and Klein had major role in this...

 

Per Wikipedia:

 

"In 2013 Dean Skelos, as senate leader was responsible for suspending senate rules and bringing the NY SAFE Act to the floor, he later voted for the SAFE Act and advocated its passage." 

 

Jeffery Klein, the assembly leader probably did the same thing in the assembly, but that is merely a guess.

 

Skelos is a senate republican from district 9 which is a section on Long Island near the towns of Freeport and Far rockaway. Klein is a democrat ( or independent democrat some crap like that) who represents assembly district 34 which is the Bronx area.

 

Before you all go and try to beat them up with an NRA flag, keep this in mind: Nothing moves in the environmental conservation committee until it gets a green light from Grisanti and Sweeney. Then, if a bill passes those committees it will not move to a vote by the general floor unless Skelos and Klein authorizes it to. 

 

So, I keep hearing this catch phrase about "one man". You have used it so has western NY buck hunter and so has the NY outdoor news. Maybe you are right, but please reconcile what you say with the process relating to the role of the so-called leaders and the statement from wikpedia about Skelos.
