Give it a try with max flame on a cast iron for a couple minutes before adding oil or meat. 1.5" thick steaks at room temp, 3 mins on each side and check for doneness. You want that dark, rich, caramelization on the crust. Tons of flavor to be added there.

Yea that's how I typically do it but didn't want the marinade to burn. It was almost too much flavor.

Had meatloaf again with baked potatoes. Good hearty meal on this frigid night. Wife baked biscuits and we had strawberry shortcake for our Valentine's eve dinner since she has to work tomorrow. I scored some brownie points today too when I brought her home these.
