Acorns dropping already?

I went out yesterday to hang some cams at my lease and almost every tree I walked under that was a oak was dropping acorns.Is this about the right time for that or is it early?I am guessing early but I am not 100% sure either.Lots of deer sign around them but they are definitely not hurting for food there.

Acorns still green here. Nice 3 or 4 to a cluster.  My Shagbark Hickories have been dropping mature nuts for 2 weeks now. Someone said their diseased. Look healthy to me. Squirrels and turkeys don't think so either, LOL. Going to be tough to know where to set up for this Fall.

I live in wny and my property is full if acorns and they are droping allready.... About 3-4 weeks early

Yup, was out walkin the dog n at least a half a dozen trees were already droppin pretty heavy

Yeah, the wind on sat here seemed to have brpught down some acorns.

Yea I figured it was a month or so early

Unless knocked down by wind most nuts dropping now are bug or blight infested or non viable.. apples drop the same way. if you put the falling nuts in water they will float..if they are viable healthy nuts they sink. plus the deer wont eat them unless really hurting for food. good nuts are still on the trees and will drop when mature.

I also saw a lot of acorns on the ground this weekend in 3p. Almost all of them were very small and green. I figured they were bad for some reason like G-Man said.

Was out in westchester and they droppin up there as well

Checking my stand in Durham acorns down everywhere only seen 3 does come out into the meadows at nightfall the norm is 20 I think early October lull
